Wow, sound on the Midway games would be great! Glad you understand how to go about that without making them unplayable. As far as your original posts question - I will help you with testing the keymapping of games if you need it. Just PM me or whatever... Thanks BP

It wont be an issue getting it on one disc... ill look at stuff like AOF 1 2 and 3 and maybe get rid of 1 and 2... for the lesser of the games All Mwtal slugs will stay.

I will be putting a full installer like Plat 2 in... so it can be installed from dvd

List to do = - Add sound to Midway games (NBA jam series)

I think some of the King of the Fighters could removed and just keep the best ones. I was able to fit your last release on a dvd by doing that and also removing Samurai Showdown 5 regular version.

What about dumping the NeoGeo and CPS stuff that FBAxxx already does so well and just concentrate on the rest? Without those it will be well under 2 gigs and allow room for other stuff, like newer games and previews etc.

We could all help out with keymapping etc too, nothing technical there.

Thats a great idea...I already have my FBAxxx sorted out ...it is redundant to have them in coinops.

I disagree, if you have a 4.7 gig dvd to work with why, would you omit some of the best arcade games when you could have them on one disc.

NeoGeo / CPS2 will NEVER be deleted there is no way at all, I also think some king of fighters can go and few others people can them back if they want.

I need a spread sheet with

Zip File

Rom Name

Keymapping issues

Does it have sound

Speed Issues

Analog Issues

BP Fixed

I will populate the games in the next week then people can start testing

I will then sort out every game on the list to work correctly

I I allready use an HD XBMC for myself.... this is why HD and commandline launching is not a thing I can be arsed about as you saw the version 6 months ago I use

But added looking into 720P support is that the only other video res really needed?

Who can make a up a spread sheet with cats so we can get the 900 odd games sorted so they all work sweet as... some games might get cut if they dont work right as I want this build to be tight

I like to use 1080i since its my monitors native res. but 720P would be great too. Thanks, update looks nice, good stuff

Neo Geo stuff will never leave this EMU as they work pretty well and alot of people wont use 2 GUIs

That's the thing. The 0.84 core doesn't support all the NeoGeo and CPS stuff, whereas FBAxxx does, and it handles some games better. It also has the 'moves' for most of the games which can be very useful, a record/replay function, the save states work perfectly, screen adjust, a load of filters, commands view etc. I'm not knocking CoinOps because I know you probably have the ability to add all those features I mentioned, I'm just saying that most people are already using 2 GUIs as it is. Hell, if you consider most folks are also emulating SNES, Genesis, NES, PSX etc, they are using maybe 10 or more GUIs anyway.

As long as you still release CoinOps as a standalone, as well as one with all the roms, then I'm over the moon

Btw, I think the Google spreadsheets was a good idea, then everyone will have access to it to make changes. A master copy could be saved elsewhere by a few people in case something happens to the online version. Hopefully it shouldn't take too long to go through all the roms that way, if everyone chips in.

As I say it built this for simplisty most people dont use all the features you mentioned they just want to play SFA2 and it will do a pretty good job of that...

I dont have time to manage a spreadsheet sorry set all up etc Ill need someone else to manage it.

Yes that's no problem. I'll set one up on Google and save one locally too. I just need the list of games to start it off and I can start testing as soon as I can

Start with list from coinops + 2nd quarter

add

loderndf

mt_soni2

mt_sonic

quartet2

opwolf

othunder

also anyone can send me a link for a rar with screenshots taken from those build to remove ill consider them. I will give you a folder of screenshots in 2-3 days of games to remove. It wont be any major game but the sooner I know the issues the sooner I can make a Refined version to tidy up the loose ends for everyone

Ok, I started off a Google Spreadsheet here. Anyone can edit it as it stands. If anything happens to it I have a backup xls saved locally. I'm currently adding game names to match the zip files, and the list only includes the roms from the first Coinops as they are the bulk of them.

Feel free to go and add/edit it
