ken_cinder Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 I'm pretty busy lately, but I've mostly been playing PES 2008 on the PC. I'm quite surprised that i still keep playing, I'm far from being a soccer fan. Also playing (A short burst here and there).... Gears of War - PCCrysis - PCNHL 08 - PC (This game is better in some ways to previous, but damn theres a few bug fixes it REALLY needs. I wish they'd stop giving us PC users sub-par graphics too FFS, 360/PS3 versions look awesome, and there is no reason the PC version shouldn't look BETTER)Megaman 2+3 - NES (MednafenX NES)Contra - NES (MednafenX NES) Gears of War (360) Those Theron Guards in Act 3 are seriously for the loss.I'm stuck there. 1: MUST have Torque Bow2: Get in close, but not TOO close3: Stick to cover or DIE
BlackKnight Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 1: MUST have Torque Bow2: Get in close, but not TOO close3: Stick to cover or DIE It's more that the cover spots don't really provide great cover against their Torque Bows- once you're past the first side of the station, no matter where you hide, they can get a shot stuck to you from some weird angle and its a 1-hit KO. Also the checkpoint is wayy back... you have to walk and listen to the same conversations again and again, which doesn't help your concentration for the next attempt.
Smilee Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Have a fun time trying to beat the last boss in Gears. It's too bad the cover mechanics in campaign don't really translate at all toward multiplayer. Cod4, Almost 55!
Wizard Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 NHL 08 - PC (This game is better in some ways to previous, but damn theres a few bug fixes it REALLY needs. I wish they'd stop giving us PC users sub-par graphics too FFS, 360/PS3 versions look awesome, and there is no reason the PC version shouldn't look BETTER)Word on the street is that the engine is finally getting retired and NHL09 PC will be using a whole new engine. I feel for you, the PC version of it is completely trash compared to the 360/PS3 versions. They used the old version fo cash in for the PS2 version (Since the PS2 and PC versions are alike).
Devia Eleven Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Playstation 2 Final Fantasy VII - Dirge of CerberusThe game seems fine, although the controls are somewhat broken I've tried to tolerate it to get further in the game, because I like the leveling system aswell as having the ability to upgrade your guns. God of War IIA good game, currently stuck in ANOTHER puzzle. Devil May Cry III - Special EditionA bit hard, I'll resume playing this game later, just finished defeating Jester on Gold mode Normal. Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the IlluminusStuck on a mission, they get repetitive too. Shadow Hearts IICurrently at the part where I need to travel through the Subway, I am trying to level up my party because apparently the Subway enemies are a bit too strong for me right now. Megaman X - Command MissionA bit boring, good enough for me to keep playing, just got Massimo in my party, and now I'm stuck in a maze.
Exp44 Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 World In Conflict (demo - not enough money yet to buy full game, nor a computer good enough to run it) and Need for Speed Most Wanted (haven't played it too recently, on 9th or 8th blacklist member, my computer barely runs it anyway)
BlackKnight Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Pokemon Diamond VersionNew Super Mario BrosPhantom Hourglass
L.S.D Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Mass Effect. Damn good interactive rpg game. The battles could use some improvement but the story is really interesting and immersing. Really feel like you are in part of a big budget movie. And yes, it feels like KOTOR 2 but only better. Minor nags: wonky battles, a lot of loading to refresh the textures (not that bad but enough to be annoying sometimes). Pros: Engaging conversations, fun side-missions, and yeah, trying to get into the skirts of those aliens
Smilee Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Assassin's Creed and TF2. Anyone else play TF2? Really addicting game.
Ryuken Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Brave Story for the PSP. i haven't played a rpg for a long time and usually when i do i quit after a while of playing of it gets boring sometime but so far this game is okay and i like the story
Gryph Posted January 6, 2008 Author Posted January 6, 2008 The Witcher. I uninstalled Gears of War because I stopped having fun with it. I have too little gaming time and too many games to stay stuck on one area. The moment I stop enjoying myself it's uninstall time.
