  1. well you know how i did it. i never bothered to try Tmauls post either. I figured i got rid of the cube, why go back and do it again.
  2. evox (probably not even the latest) My demands havent exceeded its capabilities.
  3. SDK MS Visual Studio.Net nasm.exe perl.exe seems i dont have perl.exe. So what is this file need for? Do this file anything to do with my errors? well from what i understand, that perl.exe will handle some of the work when adding new drivers. It basically will make it easier for you or something. I am sure i have it installed but i still have to manually add new games to the driverlist.h file when i make a change to the neogeo_d.cpp file. ive been told this is due to me not having perl.exe.......who knows. its not that big a deal though. I dont think its critical.
  4. Well, i basically just dropped my FBAX source in that folder i showed. I didnt mess with anything else. it compiled fine.
  5. another solution would be to use a VGA adapter and plug your box to your PC and record that way. Thats only if you already have the equipment.......dont go out buying a special vid.card just to do this, its easier to switch out your bios, etc.
  6. lol, i dont listen to the readme of the source. Try dropping your source in a ROOT dir. like C:/xdev or something like that. keep it out of as many sub folders as possible. Let me know how it goes. heres where my lab is located C:\XBE_DEV\Fba
  7. yea kawa-x calls for sngoku3n - the original kawa-x supported this rom. Like Mr.X says, kawa-x has it disabled. i carried that set over to fbax since sengoku 3 was NOT supported. So it also looks for sngoku3n.
  8. kof2k and kof99 require the encrypted sets. kof99 will not run off the fully decrypted and kof2k will give some minor gfx issues. also in v3....Zintrick was added.
  9. I don't think anyone thinks FBAX was a simple task and everything you all did to achieve the decryption, VMM, etc that it provides. I can also appreciate the pride you feel in achieving such a task. Good job! Allowing the fully decrypted sets is simply a matter of flexibility. Nothing more than that. Thanks again for your hard work and I hope you werent so pissed off that you only intended on making that 1 comment. Come back again.
  10. Yeah, ive kinda been avoiding that but i guess ive gone as far as I could with B4. Thats exactly what Ive been doing is simply editing the d_neogeo.cpp and besides those 2 games, it worked. Ill take the plunge and import the latest stuff into the source and see what happens. This basically means im going to take the 'NEOGEO' folder from the latest build and drop it into the b4 sources 'NEOGEO' folder to replace the ones in there. Thats the extent of my knowledge if theres code i have to change/edit........LMAO forget it! heh
  11. The best thing and most common thing to do is use XISO, extract the iso onto your PC HD then upload it into your games directory...... create a folder in games called "gamename" then dump the contents of your extracted iso into that folder. ***make sure the default.xbe is in that folder and not in a supfolder.....
  12. I dont think i actually talked about it much Tmaul. At least not in this forum. Have you actually tested those drivers? If you had, you would realize that they do not work, at least not in the state they are in. For mslug3, garou, strikers, preisle i had to add the S rom line to the driver otherwise fbax would not read the S or extract the text data from the C roms as instructed in the driver. garoun actually needed a specific S rom in order to run 100%. As the others only required the S rom to be added. as for kof2knd and kof99nd........... kof2knd - i get gfx errors. I get the best results adding the S rom line to the driver but still get minor graphical problems. Ive tested various S roms and none have given me 100%. kof99nd - this one doesnt even run. No matter what driver i use. (even the one commented out) it has yet to load. seeing things from your end i can understand your post but you might have given me a little bit of credit for not being THAT stupid.......lol the drivers included (but commented out) were the first ones i tried for all the games. as far as the homebrew....i never bothered but yeah i know theyre there. So if you want to help us out.......take a look at kof2knd and kof99nd and see if you can come up with a solution. I have yet to. thanks Tmaul for your input. NeoGhost
  13. uhh you dont have to upload all the songs. Basically if we have a fast HOST server, all the DJ does is login and stream through the server from his pc. So basically the dj plays the music from his/her pc through the host to all the listeners........ Yes, there are other methods like uploading songs, and have people place their requests with automated djs, etc.....but i think the live dj thing is much cooler and less of a pain in the arse since all they have to do is login to the host and start being a dj......... i think the SERVER-SIDE software is called Shoutcast DNAS..........for shoutcast ofcourse..
  14. BLAH BLAH BLAH,........where are the SCANS? or the PICS? BLAH show me
  15. heh, if theres a station and someone else is hosting for 1emuStation.......then there should be more than 1 dj.......... especially with the timezone thing.............we can potentially have dj 24hrs..........heh.
  16. if your upload is 128kb/s thats really not that bad as far as decent quality output goes.......unless you expect to have more than 20listeners at a time........ doesnt seem like a lot but when you first kick it off, 20 will be quite good. Considering eveyones locations/ time zones, etc. People dont seem to mind poor quality if there is content (live dj, talkin about stuff, etc) but if its pure music then yea, theyll want good sound. Sounds like fun, hope somebody gets somethin goin.........Might be a good idea to open up a channel on IRC too for listeners/ requests, etc....... Like i said before i had a lot of fun when i did it.......
  17. Someone had posted on their forum sometime back asking about support for the decrypted sets, etc. They were left out intentionally from FBAX...........so this is why i was kidding about asking them for the help. I found the topic on his forum. The question was asked on 12/20/03 about support for decrypted sets and this was Lantus response:
  18. Your blowing my compile way out of proportion. A compile without the "banned" sets is simply the original fbax. I know where your comin from as far as adding the homebrew games and stuff, but lets just keep things a little more grounded. (keep a low profile). When the mame team implements the VMM code into mameOX, we'll be seeing some great things for us all. Something very close to your vision of the "Ultimate Emulator". Enjoy what we have, do the best we can to make it better and wait and see what the future brings. -NeoGhost ***about kof2knd and kof99nd*** I have spent 0hrs on these sets and trying to get them to run correctly (or even run at all in the case of kof99nd).....theres just been other things goin on that i cant overlook (ninja gaiden, ROTK dvdr, etc) been busy with other things. Havent forgotten about them, heh, i was thinkin about askin LANTUS or TMAUL to help me out with those.....what do you think?
  19. Yea shoutcast is all i know. I used to be a dj for "xbox radio" lasted about 6months or so. it was great fun. Start up a 1emu station!!!
  20. correct. anytime you import something new over something you have working.....please backup your previous (working) one. Im not saying theres anything wrong with this version, but if you have questions like this, just backup yours, try this and find out.........
  21. Just got home. Sorry for the late response. To answer your concerns. I currently have no interest in adding the Decrypted drivers for Bangbead or Nightmare in the Dark simply because the encrypted versions are small enough as they are and my interests lie more in the fighting games/action genre. If bangbead or nitd were larger, I may have considered them. THe ecrypted sets are supported already with fbax though and they are small enough to not suck up so much space on your hd. The mslug5 thing was indeed an error. THanks for pointing that out. Removing the loading messages im sure is possible but your the only one to complain about it..........so its not going anywhere. It serves as a good reminder that your running your own set without CRC getting in the way. Havent really bothered too much with Blood in anything other than Unibios. Im sure someone else can answer that. Thanks for the compliment but i just added drivers. Lantus/Tmaul did all the work.
  22. Your P's are freezin on FBAX cuz the driver was written for 7mb p rom. ill check it out. Well it seems that HERO P is also 7mb. I looked at it and it acts the same way the original kof2k3 p roms did before pmame.bin. maybe Darkzone can fix it? use debug bios to select the bosses in the meantime on fbax
  23. Just an FYI about the new stuff runnin on NRX......... the P rom they are using is the same as the rom used to run on XBOX (pmame.bin) all they did was chop up th pmame.bin into 1mb chunks (7mb so 7 chunks) and merged pmame.bin with pmame chunk1 = nrx p rom. its pmame.bin + the first 1mb of pmame.bin at the end of it to make the 8mb nrx p rom. kinda shady if you ask me (not giving credit where its due ---DARKZONE) anyway, enjoy on nrx........still not universal, just hacked for play.
