  1. Pulled from the shelves? WTH?! So the first Fatal Frame was banned or something? What for? If that's true, I'm guessing that if I can find it being sold, then I should get it. Edit note: Okay, so some guy at gamestop told you that. :/ Well, either way, for whatever reason, this game is getting harder to find. I still see RE series being sold (yes, including the much older ones), so it's pretty lame if you ask me.
  2. Agozer: Wow! Thanks for the additional comments. Those training dummies sound retardedly funny. Yeah, I'm gonna give it a shot and grab a copy. It's being sold at around 25 bucks. Should be around 20 since it's greatest hits (it is greatest hits right?), but whatever. About the dungeon-crawler thing, yeah, I think more and more I'm developing Claustrophobia (sp?), so...yeah. As more and more real life responsibilities get added to the list each year, more and more I feel suffocated. I'm in a prison. Society is a prison.
  3. About the long post thing... yeah, well people nowadays have very very short attention span, so you gotta try and keep it short. LOL (Don't worry, it's not directed at anyone specifically, but just in general.) But the way I see it is, whether it's long or not, if the topic interests the individual, they'll stick around and read it. Anyhow, all this political talk just makes me feel suffocated and trapped. I'm currently taking a poli. science class and more and more it's been boring me to tears -- instructor just does not motivate me. :/ Frick! I'm also writing a paper for this class at the moment. Writing papers, exams, deadlines! Damn! They all make me feel suffocated and trapped!! Sorry...
  4. I like it! Yeah, there's no reason for you to move when you were there first. In fact, it's very rude for someone to just come up and say they'd like to have your seat. If it's said politely, then that may be find, but most time, these chicks have had so much ass-kissing from other guys that they'd come up and just demand a seat.
  5. You know I've been debating whether I'll get Vagrant Story or not, and I honestly don't think I'll like it from what I've read. The box puzzles being one, another is emphasis on so many different types of weapons and its subclass types, and it was mentioned that only a particular weapon *and* a particular subclass works on each monster or something like that -- it just sounds cumbersome than exciting. There's also the bit on assembling weapons and whatnot, and also heard that it's mostly a dungeon crawler. For all these reasons...I think I'll get it. Yeah, it probably sounds like a stupid choice, but I guess I'm hoping that I'll be surprised and end up liking it -- what are the chances? Plus I know a place that sells brand new copies of it, and I know they are getting harder to find even though I think they're still in print. Um...comments or anything?
  6. Well, I've read a lot of good things about the Fatal Frame series in other places as well. So, I'm gonna try and give it a rent. Fatal Frame 1 is hard to find for some reason, and one place that has it sells for around 50 bucks -- which is about the same for Fatal Frame 2. So, yeah, probably rental first, and then I'll decide.
  7. I dunno. I would have to know the person's likes/interests first.... but that's in real life. In this forum, and in regard to the poster above me (AntiWinner), I'd get him a shirt with a "I'm a loser" spray painted on it. I think he'll like it.
  8. Damn. Well.... Isolate. Yeah, you need to focuss on *isolating* the two of you when you get the ball rolling like this. For example, if you got your own place, you can invite her over to check out your music collection, DVDs, whatever excuse. Thing is, if she's already in the mood, she knows those reasons are bullshit, but she doesn't care -- she welcomely excepts your BS (knowing it's BS) so she can later rationalize that "it just happened." The point is to get the two of you into an environment in which you two can be alone and go *undisturbed* to do as you wish. That way, you don't have any interferences. But you need to strike while the iron is hot. When it starts getting very physical between the two of you, remember that what is being communicated by her nonverbally has more weight than whatever crazy crap she may start saying verbally -- if she starts second guessing about the whole thing. If the two (her body language and what she says verbally) is out of sync (i.e. she's really getting physically into it, but she verbally throws out excuses), trust her nonverbal communication. It normally means she wants it, but doesn't want to be responsible for it later. To handle this, just reassure her verbally (i.e. "Yes, I know, I know", "It's alright, don't worry", blah), all the while you two continue getting physical. However, if her verbal resistance and nonverbal bodylanguage are in sync with each other. You know the mood has been destroyed, and it's best to just back off. What's your plan now? You going to try again in the near future? (Just remember not to put all your eggs in one basket.)
  9. Sorry, I don't mean to pick on you, it's just that your last sentence does not make much sense. What I mean is, you already stated how dissapointed you were in Revolutions. Also, you feel that the creators are just trying to milk the franchise. Yet, you'll still buy their latest installment. The thing is, you know that once you buy it, though your collection may be complete, you'll be disappointed... unsatisfied with the whole thing. My point: please reconsider.
  10. I finished it within the week I first got it. It's quite an easy game -- but fun nontheless. Sorry, I don't know about the glitches though. :/
  11. I found it at Costco for like 15 bucks, believe it or not. This was about 7 months ago, though. Yeah, I grabbed it the instant I saw it.
  12. I think the name is another one bites the dust, and the artist name is Queen. Anyways I am listening to Ruff Endz - If I was the one Hey thanks!
  13. Sure do. http://www.choiceless-awareness.com/jkworks_fftk.htm
  14. "The world may never know..." -- That Tootsie candy commercial
  15. Every game would lose its appeal after awhile. Fighting games are out of the question since I'm on the island by myself -- correct? RPGs, I'd probably get tired after just a couple of times.
  16. Hey, what's the name of that song that goes like "dun...dun...dun...dun...another one bites the dust!...another one bites the dust!...dun...dun...dun...etc."? Anyone?
  17. I rented it. So, I guess I'm not cool. ......... I thought the first one was decent, second one wasn't as good, but still alright. Third one....what happened? I never saw it in theaters, so saw for the first time last night. I knew there were harsh criticisms, but I like to try and give movies the benefit of a doubt if I haven't watched it. What blew it for me was that if this movie tried to just be an action/special effects type movie, fine -- it'll probably work in that case. But it tried to be philosophical, and therein lies its fault -- for me, at least. It's so-called philosophical questions it asks are nothing more than mainstream ideals trying to cleverly disguise itself as something profound. If you've read philosophical works for just a few years, you see through that bullshit easily. If you want to read some hardcore philosophy, look into the writings of Jiddu Krishnamurti -- but that's just one. Oh...and the fight sequences this time around were much more special effects heavy than previously, it seems. I didn't really get into that, and the whole flying around in the air fighting and those giant earth shattering explosions.
  18. What can I say? I can only speak for myself, my experiences, my beliefs regarding this (well, any) issue -- same is true for everyone else. Glad High school is over. Not so much because of crap like the articles you've posted, but the thing I hated most about high school was that I was made to sit in class from eight in the morning till like 2:30 in the afternoon. All the while, having to put up with classes I've had no interest in, and/or classes that were much too mainstream and filled with government propaganda (I was in public school), and having to in class with students who I just could not identify with. Kids around me were always yapping about this and that, about the latest gossip, who likes who (couldn't give a crap), who's hot, who was in the popular group and whatnot, blah blah. (Bored me to tears; and I was surrounded by this crap every day I was in school.) Yeah, and let's not forget all that "teenage angst" that was just everywhere. Kids were obsessing over popularity, who's in what group, their test scores, etc. as if were a matter of life and death. Unfortunately, I never went through this "teenage angst" stage (or maybe it's not so unfortunate), and more and more as time passed, I grew apathetic about the whole high school environment, and more and more, there was this great gap between I and my fellow students -- I just could no relate with their concerns and problems. While most of my peers were struggling with these very serious issues of life and death. I was on the sideline with my interests in philosophy and video games -- LOL, yeah, somehow they don't really mix, but I could always talk about videogames with the other kids. LOL Throughout high school, I did my own thing; I didn't give a f#$k about what was being taught in school (my grades were always poor), and didn't give a f#@k about the other students. I still graduated in four years though, like most students. But I never bothered to attend the graduation ceremony, or even take a picture for my yearbook, cuz I just care and they are not a big issue. I went into the school office and picked up my diploma a week after the ceremony -- that's it, my four years of boredom and routine was over. Now that I'm in college, it's not as bad since you have more freedom in choosing your classes, and you can freely make your own schedule. Also, I'm getting straight As in class cuz now I'm actually trying. Perhaps, all along, I just needed more personal freedom -- you definitely don't get that in high school. So what's the point behind my long ramblings? Not sure. Perhaps to point out how my individual experiences in high school were much different from the viewpoint the articles took with the example of those two kids, and yet how I too never gave a damn about high school -- just for different reasons though. The sad thing is, crap like "unfairness" from the whole issue of popularity and...uh...unpopularity never really goes away -- even after high school. It just takes a different form and it's just placed into a different context, and that's it. P.S. I had to watch The Breakfast Club in high school for my required (what's not reguired in high school? heh) counseling or something class. What's the name of that class that talks about drugs, peer pressure, sex ed., and all that crap? Yeah, that class. Hated the movie? Why? Guess you haven't payed much attention to my post. Read above for general idea -- yeah, I know it's long. LOL P.P.S. Jiddu Krishnamurti. Anyone heard of him? That guy is amazing. I've been reading some of his writings and they're incredible. Anyone interested in a link with one of his writings, let me know. But what are the chances of that, right? This is an *emulation* board! LOL
  19. What more can I possibly add to what's already been said? Yes, if it persists, you should see a doctor. Though I'm not so thrilled about going to a doctor for every medical problem (but what can you do?). Doctors will try everything to run tests after tests, using every excuse in the book, all just so that they can drain away more money from your pockets.
  20. Tupac... I could never understand the hype that guy gets.
  21. About my earlier comment on the game being crappy...well, sorry about that. It's just that games based on movies have a tendency to be crappy, so...yeah, I could be wrong. But like I said, rent first, if possible. Yeah, survival horrors may not always be scary, but it often has its moments when it gets the adrenaline (sp?...yeah, not sure on the spelling either. lol) going, and most horror movies can't even do that for me. So, I take survival horror over a so-called "horror" movie.
  22. I don't see why a movie should be labeled "horror" if it's humurous and/or cheezy. I have seen very little in terms of true horror movies. I think I get scared more with playing a survival horror than watching most horror movies nowadays. The Thing? I haven't seen it. But as for the game, I'm guessing it's crappy. My recommendation is that you should rent it first -- if possible.
  23. Yep, it's now pretty much official. Expect to see a release with SF anniversary collection AND SF3:TS included in one bundle. I believe it's for the PS2, and I don't think there was any word on the status of availability on other consoles. :/ Better than nothing though, and it's sounds like a good deal. http://ps2.ign.com/articles/504/504486p1.html http://www.capcom.com/news/news.xpml?prid=450131 Want to make claims about SF4? We're going to have to see an official word from Capcom before we buy into any hype. Thank you.
  24. I don't see what could be so convincing about what TAS was saying. Bottom line is: Capcomologist or whatever you want to call him, he ain't a rep. of Capcom nor does he work for them. It's simple wishful thinking until there is an official word. Speaking of official word, I'm gonna make a separate topic about the latest news from Capcom regarding Street Fighter -- so be on the lookout.
