    I have a VIA chipset myself and it has never flipped me off in any way. Although I do keep the 4-in-1 VIA drivers up to date.

    I have all the hotfixes myslef and my computer has had no ill effects because of them. I don't see how uninstalling those hotfixes would somehow do harm to your computer, except for the lowered security.

    Yes, you are correct. This whole ordeal with the mixed up roms has caused more than enough confusion among those that don't keep up with the current Neo-Geo emulation news. As you said, Samurai Shodown V Special should have been released much later to avoid this confusion.

    I did update my VIA chipset thing, and it does run smoother with the settings you use, albeit some occasional stuttering when turning around corners and such
