  1. You should really expect them to ask weird questions, instead of the "what is your stance on abortion" type of questions.
  2. Does it have entries in the gamelist (have you checked the bottom of the gamelist)? What fromat are the files in? bin or rom?
  3. svcchaos and svcchaosa are encrypted sets, meaning that you can't get them to run in NeoRAGEx. svcplus works in NeoRAGEx (EGCG), and it's a decrypted set. However, svcplus is quite buggy since it's a bootleg. You can find fixes here.
  4. Yeah, MAME requires quite a bit of information if you plan on writing your own custom drivers for your custom MAME build... This is why I find Kawaks/Nebula Loader to be easier, since you don't need to worry about SHA1, and the overall layout of the DATs is very simple compared to MAME drivers.
  5. I don't think he misread it, he just worded his post wrong.
  6. Well, depends on how you look at it... Caution only means that the enemy has become suspicious (either because of noise or some other disturbance) and is investigating the cause. In other words, I wouldn't call it an alert, because the enemy isn't really running after you and trying to kill you.
  7. Yes, decrypted are usually ROM and encrypted are usually BIN... or rather, that how it used to be at least. The newer romsets are usually without a shadow of a doubt BIN regardless of whether or not they are encrypted. Encrypted sets are larger by nature becuse encrypted data does not compress at all (or compresses very poorly; either way). And yes, the emulator needs to decrypt the encypted sets before it can run them.
  8. I'm only playing on Easy because I want to unlock all missions on all difficulty levels. About Leviathan, concentrate on the organ that steals your Orbs. once it's down and out, concentrate on the main part, and then start dodging the lasers it shoots. (Griffon homage anyone?) Leave the Hells alone, unless they really become a problem. You'll run into some new monsters in the next mission, which are also hard in groups. Yeah, Agni & Rudra were hard, but I managed to finish the remaining twin quite easily. The best tactic would be to attack them equally, then finish of the first one and immediately after, the other. Agni & Rugra is by far the best Swordmaster weapon, although other Devil Arms are good too. Stuff costs an arm and a leg (or two).
  9. I'm at Mission 18 or some such on Easy. A point of advice for you: This mission will make you tear your heart out. Vergil 2 battle is also quite difficult. And yes, even on Easy, the game is frustrating at times. Gameplay masochists will find the Hell they want, but casual gamers should avoid it if they can't handle the difficulty. btw, what was Mission 5 about?
  10. I wouldn't know, since I don't use Linux or any UNIX-based operating systems. I just gave an alternative. True, Linux' emulators aren't that good compared to the Windows ones. You could just rename your.rom files to.bin files manually. Of course, those sets with the ROM extension are usually dedcrypted sets.
  11. Who knows maybe the Direct3D plugin might work better on your 9200 than the OpenGL one. If all else fails, the only usable video plugin would be P.E.Op.S. Software, but it's slower than OpenGL and Direct3D. What resolution are you using btw? At least your overall systems specs can handle PSX emulation very well.
  12. What the fuck? zomg closed.
  13. Oh please, that doesn't mean a damn thing. Sure, the cube sold way less than any of the cart systems, but it still has a strong following. It will be the same with Revolution. btw, your topic title is wrong, but I'm not going to fix it.
  14. MAME does have raster effects as far as I know. The romsite's name wasn't asterisked enough so I took care of that. You could have sent James a PM you know.
  15. You do realize how much bandwidth it would cost if every single FAQ there had pictures in them? Besides, most of the FAQs there are written very well, so I haven't had any trouble following RPG FAQs.
  16. Happy early 19th birthday to Magnis!
  17. Word. He ruled in The Transporter. Perfect for Agent 47, but I can see why the studios want Vin Diesel to star in that movie.
  18. Yes, this bug is very well known. Tht particular Deus' attack uses the PSX Framebuffer in a way that isn't properly emulated, but can be passed like you said above. I don't remember clearly if this is the emulator's fault or the plugin's fault. (Who knows, this might have been fixed in the latest Pete's plugins... or not.)
  19. I haven't finished the game in ePSXe, but from what I've hear dfrom various people, it is playable to the end. Btw, I strongly suggest that you read this: http://www.lordkane.co.uk/ff9.php As a basic rule, Use Pete's OGL2 plugin for almost everything + Eternal SPU.
  20. hahahaha, GameCube games aren't even ROMs. Seriously, I hope you have a GC modchip then.
  21. Great, people don't goto GameFAQs anymore. :/
  22. Just to clarify a few things, as of yet, there is no bulletproof way to even put NDS roms onto your Nintendo DS. And no, there are no emulators that play commercial roms either, like someone pointed out already.
  23. No, you guys just play "football" and horse polo all day. Or am I just stereotyping too much here?
  24. The only people that care about Rygby are apparently micks the irish and australians.
