  1. Are you using Chankast Utilities 0.25 beta?
  2. There isn't such a way AFAIK. You're better off downloading news sets, preferably from places that have their rom lists match with some of most used DATs (like logiqx). You have fewer headaches, if you just look for a completely new set. Looking for specific files is much more time-consuming and most places do not even carry single files. Personally, I've never used rom auditing tools, especially for arcade games. With conosle games I do, because there's a better change of getting a corrupt rom.
  3. Well, chances are that the game has CDDA audio tracks... which don't play when you mount just the CD image.

  5. What DIP switches? Set the Game options (Soft DIP Settings) from the Neo-Geo BIOS.
  6. I have to confess that I haven't seen this movie.
  7. Sure is, could you maybe tell me your system specs and video plugin+config? I think it's 'tarded that not a single bios displays correctly for me. Pete's latest OGL2 plugin, not much to say about the config exept that I've set it so that it it emulates the PSX graphics as well as possible (Meaning framebuffer, off-screen drawing and some such at their best values). I don't use texture enhancements, because they only work properly with fully 2D games.
  8. Mount the image, Capcom Hack + ZWrite + AlphaTest ZWrite, Play.
  9. That's strange...
  10. Yes and yes. Also, Guru is the one that gets all the boards and eventually dumps them (gets boards from collectors, buys the boards himself etc). Since the ZiNc people (DynaChicken, smf, R. Belmont) also work with MAME, and have done so for a long time, they have some hardcore knowledge of arcade hardware. As for how they get their data... Guru's dumps, analysing, debugging, reverse engineering, leaked technical documents, you name it.
  11. I just tested Tales of Eternia and Chrono Cross with the slowboot switch and the SCPH-1001 BIOS. Worked flawlessly.
  12. ePSXe skips the PS logo for a faster boot. That doesn't mean that ePSXe doesn't emulate it at all (it's a PSX emulator after all). You can get it to show just by starting ePSXe with the -slowboot switch.
  13. I actually made a mistake in my post. I meant Zappa, not Eddie. Eddie (actually, Zato-1) was in GGX, he's blind's and uses a demon called Eddie. In GGXX, Eddie has pretty much taken over Zato's body, so Zato doesn't really exist anymore.
  14. When exactly has it not been "safe"?
  15. Yeah ok. You do that.
  16. Maybe you should use the ChankastCheater and try with that. http://www.emutalk.net/chankast/22044-can-...astcheater.html
  17. What? Speak english. 'Holy Orders' is Ky Kiske's theme music, he isn't a girl, and he has no ghosts. Eddie has ghosts, but he wan't in GGX, and he isn't a girl either.
  18. Well, the chip was inside the carts, not the console itself. The SNES is strictly a 2D system. But yeah, you could probably say that the SuperFX chip was an addon that made the SNES a 3D system, although the chip was expensive and only used in a handful of games.
  19. Use the OpenGL plugins if at all possible.
  20. If I remember correctly, Maken X isn't even supported by Chankast.
  21. You'd probably need to hack the game. No Neo-Geo game to my knowledge has a cheat for reducing the damage taken (or given) unless such an option has been hardcoded into the game by the developers.
  22. GitS: Stand Alone Complex rules hardcore.
  23. What? The XBOX forum isn't enough?
  24. Not really. Only the SuperFX/2 chip used in games like Stunt Race FX, Doom, Star Fox, Yoshi's Island etc. gave the SNES the ability to render simple polygons. The SNES never had any kind of 3D rendering capabilities itself (hell, the SNES was sometimes struggling with some games even with the added power of the SuperFX chip).
  25. Use english on the board please. You are free to use whatever language you want in PMs.
