  1. In NeoRAGEx, you can at least disable FM, and in most cases it turns of the background music. Nebula doesn't have such an option though.
  2. I think you can't configure MAME like that. It's not like you can't play the parent roms if the clones' audit fails.
  3. What is a Neo-Geo watchdog? This is the first time I've heard that term.
  4. Nestopis is awesome, and the speedy releases only add to the awesomeness. Two thumbs up for this emulator.
  5. The Universe still contains the original Neo-Geo BIOS, although heavily modified. That's why it's against the rules to ask where to get it. It really isn't that hard to find it though. As for the message it gave you, I've never encountered something like that. Just out of couriosity, what does the 1-1 DIP do?
  6. Yes, plus it's older than old already. In any case, I have too much stuff.
  7. It says actual emulated speed not shown. Yes, the emulation was recorded, then sped up.
  8. The game has been called Duke Nukem Never, just not on this board.
  9. I just keep them both checked... Although the whole belief of getting extra speed from enabling Direct3D might just be a placebo effect.
  10. Wow! You're right; I recognize a few of those monsters in those screenshots. Those monsters are from Onimusha 3:Demon Siege! IIRC, those fellows have been in Onimusha since the first game. Nobunaga's Genma army. Well ok, Nobunaga was killed in the end of Onimusha 3, so that other warlord took over.
  11. Lower the screen resolution, use a *sensible* frameskip setting, lower the sound frequency, use Direct3D... Hm. That's about it.
  12. What if you take out the 00* extension? Will the videos work then?
  13. I wonder if UbiSoft is going to re-port Onimusha 3, since Capcom didn't fare so well with the japanese market port...
  14. Zwei!! Original Soundtrack Nihon Falcom is awesome.
  15. Those Street Fighter characters are just unlockable playble characters in the upcoming Onimusha game.
  16. ffdshow supports almost every format on the face of the earth, apart from MKVs and OGMs. That's the only 'pack I need. btw, h.263/264 owns your asses.
  17. Well that's given.
  18. I just tested with garou and the DIP switches do stay at least in the Universe BIOS.
  19. Should people who have used alternate browsers for a long time even care? I mean it's IE that we're talking about here after all.
  20. Just make sure that you have the Matroska Pack installed correctly.
  21. The OpenGL2 plugin is far better than any other graphics plugin out there (save the software plugin, since it is the most accurate and emulates bloody everything the same way that the actual PSX does). OpenGL is the best provided that your card is new enough to support OGL2 and is relatively fast. All games I have work with the OpenGL2 plugin, except The Misadventures of Tron Bonne, which requires either the D3D or the Software plugin.
  22. About time. I can't wait for the demo.
  23. The only way that you can change the hardware DIP switches (Hard DIPs; the psysical switches on the arcade), through is to use either the Debug BIOS or the Universe BIOS. The switches reset when you reset the emulator. These DIPs are marked 1-1 through 1-8, and 2-1 through 2-8. You can alos enable the so-called "Developer Mode' as well. Don't ask me what it does though. Software DIP switches are the ones that can be accessed through the Neo-Geo Test Menu; (F1 in NeoRAGEx, F2 in Nebula, Kawaks, MAME, B+C+D with the Universe BIOS) ---> Setting Up The Soft DIP--> ) These settings control the amount of rounds, difficulty, blood on/off, language, etc.
  24. If I didn't know any better, I'd say that you can delete pretty much any of them, and MAME automatically recreates them when needed. Or then it won't. Having a lot of folders just eases the file archiving if you're one of those people who like to collect every screenshot, marquee, etc. etc. It 's not like havcing lots of folders degrades the performance or anything like that. Experiment.
