@californiadad concerning the xbmc dash if i was you i would just downlaod some skins for evox as it can be a problem replacing a dash on a softmodded xbox,basically its easy to F it up.

there were several pinball games released for the xbox already and lets not forget the best pinball game ever devil crush for the pc engine.

well personally i go with xbox media centre with the rapier skin,i wouldnt call it arcade looking but it looks nice and i set up xbmc to boot straight to the emulators on boot up. you can use evox to ftp files to your xbox hdd.also there is different skins you can get for evox

yes you just do it by ftp or you can use the dvd drive to burn files onto your xbox with your dashboard file explorer.

no they work just fine on coinops,i just insert the credits with the back button and hit then hit the start button,then push the A button on your controller.

it seems to run off the nromal bios as i installed mame128 just now and pointed it towards the coinops rom folder and i managed to get it to start at full screen with the playchoice bios in coinops.

when you choose the sigle screen bios,the top screen shows up first asking you to put in your credits and once you have done this the game starts and it just switches between automatically when it need to. the single version was actually released alongside the dual screen version of the machine.

strange that,you sould maybe try doing a clean install of them emu.delete the gamesaves for final burn 1.1 and reinstall the emu.

well bp i remember a while back when i was using mame 128 and it had an option in the settings to switch between single and dual monitor bios,at the moment its stuck on the dual screen monitor.

yes you can softmod without an action replay its called hotswapping. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/198478 there should be some videos on youtube to take you through the process of hotswapping.if you dont wont to do this either then you should go down the modchip route if you or soemone you know are comfortable with a soldering iron that is. or maybe someone in your area offers a modding service.

you can turn on sound on the options,mortal kombat plays really badly with sound turned on and gunlock plays pretty good woth sound turned on.

one thing you need to know when you have your new hdd in coldboot the slayers disc.in other words turn on your xbox put in the disc and close your drive. then turn on your xbox and let the disc boot that way.

the reson your roms are not showing up is because you will be using the wrong roms,you need the correct named roms in order for them to show up. basically roms from mame 134.

if your putting in a 40gig hdd then this is what you need for arcade emulation. coinops reignite r3 for all your mame needs. final burn 1.1-this emulates all those sega games which arent emulated in coinops like powerdrift,galaxy force,turbo outrun.. Ki XXX1.0-the only emulator for xbox which emulates killer instinct 1and2 arcade. cpx3-this emualtes streetfighter 3 third strike,streetfighter3 second impact,joos bizarre adventure... once you have those on your xbox then you are still going to have lots of space,i would recommend you looking into console emulation nes,snes,genesis,gba...... when you get your xbox modded let me know via pm i can help you out with this stuff. edit/one more thing when you softmod your xbox and you want to install a main dashboard go with one which has a file explorer,either unleashx or xbox media centre i would recommend.

bp just out of curiousity would it be possible to add the option to use the playchoice bios for single motior games so you can get the playchoice games full screen?? i have already added the nintendo vs games and they are full screen anyway...just a thought.

They run at 20 FPS. yeah i heard fba has problems with the taito games on xbox,strange they would just run at 20fps on fba.

all these posts i see from people saying they would like all these different emulators merged i know its something you guys would like to see but do you really think most devs would like to have their emulator that they work on merged with another emulator under one name,i cant answer for any devs but i would have thought the answer would be no,just my gut feeling. just my 2 cents. now back on topic. what is your current thinking for an update of fba legends?

i just have my xbox boot up straight to the emulators section in xbmc,more or less the same thing i suppose.

dont delete the whole saves folder in your E drive,you will lose all configurations for all games that run on all xport emulators. just go into the saves folder in your E drive and go to the pcsxbox folder.thre you can delete the castlvania symphony of the night gamesave. i still say you should try pcsxbox 13.
