  1. It has quite a few protection-related bugs (that result in crashes) meaning that it's terribly unstable and not terribly playable. Sorry I keep shooting these suggestions down guys, but I hate to spend time on games that don't work well. Thanks for the suggestions though. Keep them coming! no worries thanks for the reply,i usually check out system 16 to get info on a lot of games with screenshots but it looks like that place has ceased to be. but there is maws though.
  2. if you are still looking for requests for drivers iq 132 then there is a game called Double wings,another one of the Deco 12 games. info. WIP: 0.129u3: Angelo Salese improved the sound in Double Wings by appling the same handling of Night Slashers (they are actually similar if not same memory map). 0.128u4: Angelo Salese fixed several protection issues with Double Wings, improved video and sound. Added 'Territory' dipswitch. 21st November 2008: Angelo Salese - Looking at Double Wings protection, first of all to fix the protection jump vectors in it. Protection works in a easier way than expected, to say in the simplest words I can use it's a "fan type jump vectors" (i.e. only a few possible results are expected). 0.126u4: Fabio Priuli added DIP locations to Double Wings. 0.106u3: Brian Troha, Guru and Yasuhiro Ogawa updated dipswitches in Double Wings. These dips are read using the protection, thus they don't currently have the stated effect on the game as the protection is not implemented right now. Also the Original PCB showed the title screen in English, and the current implementation shows it in Korean(?), so it is likely there is a Language dip/jumper setting. Added 'Coin A/B', 'Flip Screen', 'Lives', 'Difficulty', 'Bonus Life', 'Allow Continue' and 'Demo Sounds'. 0.98u4: David Haywood fixed sprite rendering in Double Wings. Another one of the Deco 102 games, this gets a bit further and runs through its attract mode quite well. 15th May 2001: Guru - Purchased Double Wings from a PCB shop in Japan with the help of Team Japump in February.
  3. strider 2 is a great game and a brilliant follow up with great level design,it was only released in the arcades on ps1 arcade hardware and the ps1 port is a perfect port. the game plays great on pcsxbox,i would suggest hunting it down. oh yeah and the sharp x68000 is my fave console/computer emu after the megadrive and snes.
  4. for everyone who is asking the r3 release isnt out yet as far as i know. regarding lighgun games on a hdtv with 50/60hz option,it dosent make any difference if you if you can swith to 50hz,your guns wont work it is possible to get lightguns that can be used for lcd tvs,but dont ask me what makes or brands of lightgun because i dont know.
  5. damn i forgot about gaiaplolice,good game.there was a pirated nes port of gaiapolice but its bloody terrible,no surprise there. what a bizarre game monster mawlers looks but in a good way. i know that gaiapolie loads up but you get to a test screen(this was a long time ago)and you have to do something in the options to get it ruo but unfortunately i dont think the option is in mame on the xbox.im going to try out these tommorow and see what happens. Martial Champion, Gaiapolis, and Monster Maulers are all on the same driver and all already in MAME 0.84. You'll have to bug bp about adding them if they're not already in. As for Crystal Kings, iirc, bp added that in a while ago, but it runs like shit. Thanks for the input though guys.   7. might as well revive this old bugger of a thread. been playing a LOT of osman and im working on getting a 1cc on this game.not easy though but the boss patterns are easy to learn its more the platform elements of the game that are more challenging. also been playing the brilliant and underrated sharp x68000(x68000x) emulator on xbox. been playing thunderblade on x68000x,an almost arcade perfect port.cant find any vids of this one. also been trying out cotton on the sharp x68000,again another arcade perfect port,better than the ps1 version in my opinion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2R4yzGPwyBw graidus2 also on x68000x http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OymQS_a-T90

  9. savestates have never worked 100% on mame for xbox and it still seems to be the case.as far as i can tell you there isnt a fix for this problem just yet.

  11. yeah there was lightgun code added a while back from mameox 0.843b,i havent tried a lightgun game in a long time,cheers for more new games.
  12. i dont think that has been emulated in mame yet in fact im sure it hasnt,iq 132 can answer that question better than me though.
  13. im not meaning to be rude or anything but cpx3 is built to run on a normal xbox with A 733mhz processor and 64mb of ram,it already runs at full speed on a normal xbox apart from when you perform a super then there is a slight pause as it uses a swap folder as far as i recall but there isnt a drop in speed. you do get a drop in speed if you select the pal50 option as its biult to run at 60hz. Yeah I know, Im just the sort of person who spots those little pauses and red earth definately didn't play with perfect sound before. I imagine there is quite a variation in performance on cpx3 anyway, since alot of people have upgraded harddrives (the stock xbox one has only 5400rpm and 2mb cache) and cpx3 relys on virtual memory doesnt it? certainly the huge ones people have should have 7200rpm and 16mb cache (I want one ) yeah your right about red earth but its the zooming in and out that causes the slowdown,even with sound turned off you just know that it isnt playing at full speed but its small price to pay for getting streetifhgter 3third strike at full speed,third strike still beats streetfighter 4 hands down. i seriously need to upgrade to a 120gig hdd,im still on a 30gb hdd at the moment.
  14. 1.regarding the skin problem i can change the skin to the default skin and change back to gilou skin without any problems. 2.i tried shinobi and never got any freezing issues,janthony were you playing the game for a few levels as i played for about 5-10mins and never had any issues. 3.regarding 1945k as far as i can tell that wavy effect isnt a glitch as i have seen this before in mame,you have to turn on one of the graphic filters and you dont get that issue. it could be that you are playing it on a widescreen tv with the screen rotated ie stretched which causes that.well thats how i play it and i did notice this but as i said above. 4.gunbird works fine for me. 5.shadow dancer crashes when you try and exit the game during gameplay. 6.an odd thing i found with strikers 1945 3,if you play the game for the first time then you can play to about the second and third level,then once you exit out and go and play it again it will crash about halway through the first level. but if you delete the strikers 1945 3 nv file in the fbaxxxpro folder then you can play right up to the third level usually.

  16. the PSIKYO SH2 games are already in coinops,they can be a bit sluggish with the sound on,if you play with sound off then they play great.battle k road has a little bit of slowdown as well but not much.

  18. the games i uploaded work just fine with no missing roms well apart feom cabal which isnt even there as i didnt have a proper working version at the time. if you are having a problem with a certain rom then just go to your favourite download site and get another one to try. @iq 132 congrats on the night slashers driver awsome work there. @bp i noticed that when you click down on the left thumbstick with autofire it works fine,but if you die or insert a credit during play auto fire automatically switches off,just thought i would let you know.
  19. go into your settings and put the option game sounds to locked on then you will get the music and sound affects for gunlock. as for v-five the sound in a few toaplan games has not been decrypted properly in the most current version of mame on the pc as far as i know.apparently the protection on some of those games is a real bitch.but i did read that they are working on a process called decapping(i think)to get the sound emulated. hey fu u might be thinking of gunnail, yea gunnail sound was fixed in this version of coinops. Try gunnail if you havent its a good one main. ill give this a try and see. thanks either way! no im speaking about gunlock otherwise known as rayforce,the sound plays fine if you turn on the game sounds to locked on.it works just fine i just tried it out again when i seen your post. thanks bro just figured it out, lol. HF- try setting the sound quality to low instead of high,if the option is still there that is and see if it improves the slight choppiness.

  22. its been like that since last release, i do remember mentioning it to you when there was a discussion about screenshots.but it aint no big deal as its easy enough just to shift the screenahots to the correct folder.
  23. look in the folder where the game videos are it should be called gamevideos or videos anyway when you take a screenshot they go in there,so you have to move them into your screenshots folder. and yes they are named after the name of the rom. edit/also remember there is the screenshot pack you can use that was uploaded for an earlier release if you need it.
  24. Hi there which game was this that iq_132 fixed? I click the links and can't see any pictures keep up the great works guys. that game is called fighters history by data east,capcom sued data east over this game because it was to similiar to streetfighter 2 back in the day. you might have heard of it sequel fighters history dynamite on the neogeo.
