Jjangthekid Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 damn im so lost with this whole crc and patching and all that "fuN" stuff..not sure if i should make separate thread for this.. ill give it a shot, which kof2003 version do i need to get? and how do i patch it so that it'll work on winkawaks loader?/ i read the previous posts but it got too confusing.. its summer and trying to read all those posts is a pain
Wizard Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Get the new S1, rename it so it fits with your set. Create a dat for it with your CRC's using a dat maker that I can't remember the name of, and add it to your ASR.DAT.
James Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 (edited) I have kof2003b.zip running in the version of Kawa-x from Prican 25 webpage. The game appears to run fine, however call me a neat freak but I can't seem to find the s1 rom recommended in the romset.txt file. I saw an earlier post from Prican 25 stating he has the correct s1. Any chance I may be able to get the s1 for my romset. Thanx in advance. Also great job to all who made KOF 2003 for Kawa-X a reality.128 K S1 DF422440. Patch : kof2003b S1_c47f8ac3_to_df422440.zip Mine does not have that CRC and works fine. Edited July 20, 2004 by James
STL25 Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Thanx X. Patch worked like a charm and I finally have the complete romset.
Shingo Yabuki Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Why is there the Kawaks bug of hcf / hcb motions not working on my Nebula Loader? I got it working (although the UniBios "NeoGeo" screen is crumbled, and so does the cheats window) on Nebula 2.23d but I have problems when performing hcf/hcb motions. Is there a way to fix it?

Shingo Yabuki Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Sorry for some mistakes from my previous post. To clarify, this is the real score.. I can perform hcf/hcb motions like Clark's Hcf + B/D. The only problem is when I perform DM/LDM's. My directional buttons are W,A,S,D. Eg... I want to perform Kyo's Orochi Nagi DM...., then I'll input S,A; S,D...... But with my current KOF 2003 in Nebula, to perform Kyo's DM..... I need to input these..... S,A; A,S,D..... which as far as my keyboard gaming experience goes is a bit difficult. Just askin' help....
Wizard Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Well because of the tighter control scheme, you need to really time it. Although I haven't been using the keyboard long enough, I can do commands like that easily. I dunno, maybe it's just the experience.
Agozer Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 What I and K`dash said...There's nothing unclear about your post, Shingo.
Jjangthekid Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 well there are differences starting from kof2002.from kof94-2001 the control scheme isn't that tight but starting with kof02.. you need to learn different ways of doing that particular move..for example.. ioris dm.. i do it. down , forward, down,back.. + punch.. either practice slowly or find diff methods of doing it on the keyboard.

Iori Yagami Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 wait, what am I supposed to apply the p1 to? I have the kawaks dev version.
darkmage479 Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 kawaks dev need a different set. The 1.48DEV set uses 6 C roms and 1 V rom and the mysterious 271-bios.bin. It was discussed in this thread and a link for a patch to convert the 8C MAME romset to the kawaks dev romset is included.
