Rag Posted July 3, 2004 Posted July 3, 2004 This guy has to be the coolest movie guy ever! I've liked all of his movies, so since we all seem to like his SHINANAGANS so much, wondering what you think his worst movie ever was?... Sadly I think its City Hunter... my god that movie... ahh I can't even discuss it... why did I download it...
Gryph Posted July 3, 2004 Posted July 3, 2004 I think his last few Hollywood movies like "The Medallion" and stuff like that are the worst. Atleast "City Hunter" was so bad that it made me laugh.
Rag Posted July 3, 2004 Author Posted July 3, 2004 How true, I haven't seen the medallion... I dunno, City Hunter was pretty bad... like how everytime they had his name instead it was *high pitched woman* CITY HUNTER!!!!
BoomBa_GoosE Posted July 3, 2004 Posted July 3, 2004 yeah his hong kong stuff are really entertaining. aside from rush hour, his other hollywood films are too commercialized and they suck. they pushed it too far. its like, too much of a good thing u kno what i mean. anyways...i love rush hour, im such a fanboy of those movies. anythin other than that, blehhhh
Diso Posted July 3, 2004 Posted July 3, 2004 Jackie Chan > Others Today I said that not to disappoint Bruce Lee Lovers. No offense
L.S.D Posted July 3, 2004 Posted July 3, 2004 Jet Li >>> Jackie Only thing is Jet Li cannot be funny.I really like his Cradle 2 the Grave
Rag Posted July 3, 2004 Author Posted July 3, 2004 Jet Li >>> Jackie Only thing is Jet Li cannot be funny.I really like his Cradle 2 the Grave Cradle 2 the Grave was pretty cool, but Jackie is the best. I'd have to say though, Bruce Lee was the best overall. Jackie Chan is the funniest, and my favorite, but Bruce had his way with things. I love the way he screams whenever he attacks... I'm gonna do that if I even become a martial artist I just saw some documentary on him with some footage of The Game of Death that he made but was found like 6 years after his death, the man is a legend, I'm sure Jackie is too
Mag Posted July 3, 2004 Posted July 3, 2004 I find his stunts funny, but his style of fighting can't comprehend his role of a fighter, No doubt he is the master of stunts, but he is always on a roll to make you laugh.

Mag Posted July 3, 2004 Posted July 3, 2004 heh, his health and life insurance must be deeply high, for a guy like him. Seems like there is always paramedic during the credits of his failed stunts.
random guy Posted July 3, 2004 Posted July 3, 2004 I prefer Jackie Chan's movies to Bruce Lee movies. One reason is that they are so much more believable - although Jackie was likely to fight the same amount of guys as Bruce, Jackie would be running away, and he'd actually get hit occasionally - unlike Bruce Lee, who'd just stand there and take out 50 people at a time (a good example of this is Enter the Dragon - it's REDICULOUS how many people Bruce fights at a time in the scene inside the compound! Also, Jackie uses props and stuff, usually to an impressive effect! That said, of course his HK movies were 100 times better than his Hollywood movies (although Rumble in the Bronx was pretty good) - Hollywood has a trend of spotting franchises they see as popular, greedily wanting a piece, and screwing up the product in the process. Of course, another reason is Jackie's getting quite old now - at his age, he's unable to jump out a 3rd story window, etc etc etc!!
ugenn Posted July 3, 2004 Posted July 3, 2004 Jet Li >>> Jackie Only thing is Jet Li cannot be funny.I really like his Cradle 2 the Grave Just like Jackie, Jet's best movies were his HK flicks. IMO, the best were his Once Upon a Time Wong Fei Hong classics.
Rag Posted July 3, 2004 Author Posted July 3, 2004 Well Bruce was a machine, and he was like martial arts champion sooo who knows. The difference between the two is Jackie relies more on his surroundings, Bruce relied on his fists and legs. I'm sure Jackie will be able to jump out of 3 story windows even when hes like 70
Wizard Posted July 3, 2004 Posted July 3, 2004 Jackie and Bruce Lee used to know each other. How do you think it was so easy for him to get into the business? Jackie was Bruce's stunt cordinator.
ME! Posted July 3, 2004 Posted July 3, 2004 i just got done watching a jackie chan flick, actually. he's the best. i think his worst movies were the rush hour ones and also that cowboy one he did. i think they made a sequel to that one too. they sucked. mainly cause they relied more on special effects (computer), rather than just him alone. i remember jackie's first attempt to make it in the u.s. with this one movie he made. it was prety lame, and didnt do well at all. so he went back to hong kong. rumble in the bronx was his second attempt to make it in hollywood, and we all know how that turned out. though, i like rumble in the bronx alot, i think it's success was the beginning of the end. after that, everyone wanted a peice of him. i also dig jet li, but you can not compare the two. they both have different styles to their fighting. jackie's is more like dance. and the way he uses his surroundings when he fights, is actually the essence of kung fu.
