My MMA watching friends have been on the alexander bandwagon all along, saying the flash knockout was a bad call and whatnot, how he was unstoppable, the mike tyson of MMA... well Like Kimbo and brian stann, he has zero ground game. if you can't work on the ground you have no business in an MMA fight. period. these guys should be boxers.

If you noticed he was using pure strength to defend the takedowns, no technique and not much of a sprawl. He needs to switch gyms maybe. Change his training.

yeah he needs to go in and train 100% wrestling and jitz, his boxing is there, but with no ground game and no takedown and jitz defense he has no business in the UFC. he looked completely lost on his back.

I say Couture will get Lesnar in three rounds.

I dunno, the fight just doesn't make sense to me. Brock has what 4 fights? and lost 1 to Mir. He doesn't deserve a title shot. I understand that Spike wants the belt off Couture and Brock is their version of Kimbo. Randy has nothing to gain from this fight, if he wins he keeps a belt he doesn't want, and sets himself up for another revenge booking by Dana.

 

I still put my money on Randy, Mir showed champion level experience can beat raw strength. I think the first and second rounds will be dangerous for Randy, but Brock will gas and that's when Randy can really go to work. Randy HAS TO stay away from Brock for the first round.

Good fight. I never doubted Lesnar for a minute but I felt Randy would take it. Obviously I was wrong. It seemed Brock was starting to gas a bit and Randy started to take over. Lesnar landed a punch that clipped behind the ear temple-ish area on Randy. Randy collapsed and Lesnar followed up forcing the ref to step in. Good fight.

 

I was very happy to see my boy Ken-flo earn a title shot again.

well it seemed to be going as I expected, dangerous at the beginning but Lesner would gas hard quick. No Doubt Lesner has power, I knew that when his first straight knocked Herring on his ass. We still have the problem of Lesner now has a belt he hasn't earned in hard fights, Other then Randy and Frank, He hasn't fought any top tier guys.

Well that is going to change considering he has to face the winner of Nog and Mir.

I think everyone would love to see Fedor in UFC. I just don't know if it will happen. I'd like to see Tim Silvia or that russian dude he had those matches with come back to challenge Brock.
