James Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 Hey GameCop or James Has the new fixes for SVC original come into play yet?you could try this get my updated p1 rom then copy your svcplus then rename it to svc then replace the p1 with the updaed p1 then put it in the roms folder then press F5 in mame

For some reason whenever I open the cheat while playing SVC in kawaks it only shows cheat #0. I cannot select any other cheats. I figured it was because I was using kawaks 1.45 at first so I tried 1.46... same result.If I try to reload the cheat file it crashes kawaks. My friend has a worse problem, if he sets Kawaks to load the cheat folder it crashes his kawaks.

I did say I have it running in kawaks 1.45 because the games in the.dat file show up in 1.45 in the list even when you don't have the roms. Like I said, kawaks 1.46 loader isn't showing games from the.dat file in the game list. For me both the hacked loader and the original winkawaks.exe display identical game lists. This isn't a problem with the rom itself, ive checked all crc entries in the.dat file alongside the rom and they are identical, but the rom won't run unless it appears in the gamelist. It has to be a problem with the hacked loader somewhere, what a lot of people don't realise is there are around 5 versions of it going around in different 1.46 hacks, but the build of the loader is the same in each so theres no point trying different loaders. Someone suggest something besides renaming roms and setting rom paths plz Just a quick note, setting the rompath will only result in displaying games that you have in your roms dir when you select the Only Available option in kawaks, it doesn't change the default gamelist that is displayed when you select Only Missing which is the problem i'm having, SNK Vs Capcom should show up in the missing list but it doesnt, so its not gonna appear even if i have it coz the emulator doesnt actually know it exists Edited November 19, 2003 by caseh

Basically what the p1o rom does it take the hidden characters(Demitri, Zero, Violent Ken, etc) out of the character select screen. Because of that, I've found no use in calling it "bootleg" anymore. This is the new dats I've made. I've kept the OLD P1 in there which had the hidden characters in there, but all you gotta do is take the old p1 out of there and add the p1o in there and put the old p1 in a folder called "svcb" and the folder w/the p1o rom and the rest of the rom files, just call it "svc".
