The movie doesn't really follow the game too much. And Drake, if there was a book to understand the Doom plot then it would such a ripoff. You can fit it all on a leaflet. You might be talking about Masters of Doom which is a behind the scenes look at id.

Maybe that's what happens to the Rock in the movie. Although I heard the movie would have no demons and no hell, which would suck.
