Inky Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 (edited) street fighter controlleranyone have one of these? it looks alot like the old ascii pads that are impossable to find now. anyways I am thinking of getting one and a converter for my xbox and pc. looks great for emulation. so if anyone has used one of these put up a little review. edit in: I just noticed the same manufacturer (Nuby) is bringing out an xbox version in january (1/11/05) but there is no pic so I dunno if it is the same style. Gryph Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 I love this part of the description:* Breath taking lenticular center display.
Inky Posted December 4, 2004 Author Posted December 4, 2004 lol I know I dun care about the graphics I am interested in the 6 button layout and hopefully a nice pad. and the akuma one looks better but they dun have it.
AntiWinner22 Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 The controller is salivation-worthy... I am sure the XBOX version will contain different characters other than Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, & Akuma, for the XBOX release of SF: Anniversary Edition. I want one too, Garage... I want one too. Anon.
Weirdy Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 nah, don't like em cause it has a 8-way d-pad, I'm too used to 4-way
Ghosty Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 it looks alot like the old ascii pads that are impossable to find now.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT JUST A DAMN MINUTE!!!! If You Were To Find One, How Much Would They Cost?
Agozer Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 I love this part of the description:* Breath taking lenticular center display. What does that even mean? Lenticular?
Daeval Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 These look neat, if a little big. There are more coming out too:http://www.streetfightercontroller.com/ Seeing as I already have a full compliment of perfectly good controllers for the consoles I own, I'm probably going to pass on them. We'll see how I feel with the M. Bison (evil mario) one comes out.
Skythe Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Pretty good though you more than likely will have to reassign buttons everytime with every game. Anywho. You also get a book that contains a number of issues of that latest Street Fighter comic. I want to get the Motal Kombay ones that have Scorpion and Sub-Zero doing their fatalities.
Gryph Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 I love this part of the description:* Breath taking lenticular center display.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>What does that even mean? Lenticular?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lenticular \Len*tic"u*lar\ (-l[~e]r), a. [L. lenticularis: cf. F. lenticulaire. See Lenticel.] Resembling a lentil in size or form; having the form of a double-convex lens. But yeah, it just sounds goofy. It's the breath taking part that's hilarious. Scenery is breath taking. Murals are breath taking. Controller art, however, is not.

Prican25 Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 i heard the controllers are pretty good but just to warn you they don't work with the xbox controller adapter as of yet for unknown reasons so it might be best to wait for xbox's if and when it comes out (i'm guessing the reason why its coming out in january is due to the usa release of sf aniversary for xbox). tell you the truth, i'm more intrested in this: http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/246238.asp and this one works for both ps2/xbox and comes out the 6th
BoomBa_GoosE Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 id buy them but i would end up playin with them and i dont wanna do that bc its a collectable!! its not bad, but it is a saturn type controller which rox the house dude....

I am looking for pads that are more portable since I move my box around alot (from my house to my moms and to my truck.) thanks for the heads up about not working with the ps2 to xbox adapters though, no use getting them till the xbox ones come out then, and I already have home made xbox to pc adapters. Ghost those old ascii pads came out for DC and PSX. I have seen them a few times on ebay with bids in the 60 to 70 dollar range. Edited December 5, 2004 by garageink
