Well, if I understand you correctly (And I'm not sure I do ), "backup" DS games do NOT work with single card download play if they are the host. However, they work fine with multi-card play, as well as Wifi play.
-
Here's my setup for playing DS games: So basically what you need is a memory card adapter cart (M3 Perfect and Supercard are the most popular), a memory card (Usually SD or CF) to put games on, a pass device (PassMe, Passkey) or a NoPass card (Max Media Launcher, NoPass), and a way to put ROMs onto the flash cart (For me, a SD reader/writer, the big red thang in the pic). So then you download some ROMs, use the provided software to write them onto the memory card, then put the memory card and the pass device into the DS, and play. For more detailed info, I'm writing a complete guide to homebrew on the NDS. Hopefully I will be done within a week or so. But yeah, that's the basic idea behind it.

5 things you hate about your psp
Mooney replied to Sybarite Paladin AxL's topic in PSP and Vita Hacks [/psp]
Yes, for some reason, the PSP only allows 512Kb to 2Mb for the browser cache. So even with Flash support, not many flash applications will be able to run. -
Sw33t, more people! I'm gonna make a master list of users!

Yeah, I figured that out after AxL sent me a link to the story. Turns out, I just read the QJ.net panic story. And yes, built in ISO support is AMAZING! This makes it soooo much easier for having multiple ISOs. Now you won't have to boot up DevHook everytime you want to switch! Only problem is, the games seem to run a bit slow. Doy you know what clockspeed they're set to run at? Or how I could make it 333Mhz?
-
Actually, there is a PDA app for M3. It has lots of features, like a dictionary that has a voice to pronounce words for you, a clock w/alarm, a notepad, paint, and a bunch of other things. Only problem is, it's only in Chinese. If you want it anyway, get it from here: [url="http://www.m3adapter.com/Download.htm"]http://www.m3adapter.com/Download.htm[/url]

5 things you hate about your psp
Mooney replied to Sybarite Paladin AxL's topic in PSP and Vita Hacks [/psp]
1. Made by Sony 2. Constant firmware updates 3. Lack of original games 4. NEEDS 2 JOYSTICKS! 5. Made by Sony -
Yeah... a while back Sony sent a Cease and Desist order to Booster saying that part of DevHook contained copyrighted files or some bullshit. So, Booster was forced to stop work.
-
"Investigatory purposes" my ass.
-
From www.psp-hacks.com: Wow, built-in ISO/CSO support? Could this mean DevHook will become obsolete? Which wouldn't be bad, seeing as the assholes over at Sony shut it down...
-
Could someone tell me how I could give my C++ programs an icon using (preferably) Dev C++ or Visual Studio? You know, just so they don't have that ugly Windows Executable icon.
-
This is bullshit. There's no way I'm buying any Sony products for a good long time now. I was even contemplating punting my PSP. Makes me feel so dirty...

Does anyone else have this awesome file sharing software? It's a super secure P2P app that lets you connect to friends and share (legal) files with each other. I think we should start a 1emu sharing ring, where Wierdy could share all of his crazy pics, and emu authors could share their emus, and Drake could share his acid induced songs. So if anyone gets it, my name is Mooney, add me as a friend! http://www.onshare.com/en_gb/download/ MASTER LIST OF USERS: AxL = kujeyasagani Drake = drake00991 megaman_zer0 = megaman_zer0 Sturmvogel = protoman

The Ultimate Emulator Collection for 2.71 SE
Mooney replied to Robert's topic in PSP and Vita Hacks [/psp]
*ahem* http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/642 Anyway, make sure you have all the required files for the emulator, such as a BIOS file (I know for sure that the CPS1 and GBA emulators need them). Then, also look for a compatibility list to see what games your emulator does/does not support. -
Live from WISCONSIN (The best state in the US! ): http://www.g4tv.com/nightofthelivingdead/index.html w00t! The best part is: One of the guys hosting this show is a good friend of my family. I feel special.

I used Opera when my Firefox 1.5 started glitching up everything I typed online, but then I got Firefox 2.0, which I use as my main browser now.

Don't go with the X-Fi, unless you plan on devoting every minute of your life to music. Plus, you don't really need this card for your speaker setup. Heck, I've been just fine with this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16829102003

The Ultimate Emulator Collection for 2.71 SE
Mooney replied to Robert's topic in PSP and Vita Hacks [/psp]
You know, compatibility will be MUCH better on 1.50, and I'm not even sure most emulators will run on DevHook 2.71, except for NesterJ, because a special DevHook version was made fir it. I'd say just stick to 1.50 emulators. All you have to do to get back to 1.50 to 2.71 is cold boot (Hlod the power switch up till the PSP truns off). Are you really that lazy? Oh, and remember that thing I told you about on MSN, the Harley G custom firmware? I forgot to tell you one more of its features: if your WLAN switch (On the left side of the PSP ) is flipped down, it will automatically boot the default DevHook settings (The last settings you used in DevHook). THAT should make it easier for you! Get the Harley G custom firmware patch here: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/642 -
The Ultimate Emulator Collection for 2.71 SE
Mooney replied to Robert's topic in PSP and Vita Hacks [/psp]
Remember, AxL, you have a 1.50 PSP. You don't need special emulators for 2.71. Here are some links to emulators: NeoGeo: http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/29 Nintendo (General): http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/26 More 1.50 Emulators: http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/20 If you need more advice, try to catch me on MSN. -
I just tried this, has kinda low compatibility among the roms I tried, but the ones that worked worked well! Good job!

Kenny rules! THen there was that episode with Michael Jackson where we got to see Kenny without his coat and hear his voice...

I really wanna downgrade!

No problem! It was fun for me to help you! I'm just glad it worked! -
Layout?!?

Yes, I do that sometimes, too. Good fun! -
I really wanna downgrade!
Mooney replied to Sybarite Paladin AxL's topic in PSP and Vita Hacks [/psp]
WEll, you could say it's simple, but what it really is is risky. As you may know, writing to the system's flash has a chance of bricking the system. To downgrade, just get one of the downgraders (Either one or both has an installer that will put it on the PSP for you) and run it! FYI, it's a good idea to keep your PSP plugged in to a charger while downdgrading. DevHook is a firmware emulator. It lets you run firmwares 1.50, 2.00, 2.50, 2.60, and 2.71 on 1.50 or 2.71 PSPs. It also emulates UMD "backups," so you can put an ISO on your memory card and have DevHook load it with the firmware. Read more here: http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/Device_Hook You do not have to upgrade to 2.71 SE. In fact, unless you know a good amount about homebrew, I would suggest NOT upgrading. It may be a bit too confusing for noobs. As for upgrading, I'm sure the PSP's built in update function will still work. Don't quote me on that, though. And yes, 1.5 has the BEST homebrew compatibility, so everything will work. Well, there are a few popular solutions. I'll talk about them for each firmware. 1.50 DevHook - Explained above. Runs .ISO files or compressed .CSO files. Probably the most popular option. DAX ZISO Loader - A loader made by Dark_AleX, can run .ISO files as well as compressed .DAX files. UMD Emulator - Emulates .ISO files on your 1.50 firmware. Not bad, but has fairly low compatibility. Fastloader - Haven't used this before, but I've heard good things. 2.60 UMD Emulator for 2.60 w/ eLoader - Not very developed, not recommened. Only a proof-of-concept. 2.71 DevHook - A little while back, DevHook was ported to 2.71 for people who did not want to keep using the eLoader. Works with 2.71 SE-A and has same compatibility as the 1.50 version.
