Something cool: If you have an E-reader, it will not fit in the original DS. However, it WILL fit in the GBA slot of a DS Lite!

I've avoided getting M.A.M.E. up till now because I always thought it looked scary to set up, but now my need to play arcade games has overcome my fear. Could someone please tell me what I need to do/get to start playing games? And what's with all those snippets of code people are always posting? Will I need to know what those are? And one last thing: With M.E.S.S. I had to download bios for the systems to work; do I have to do that with M.A.M.E., or will the emulator be able to run all of my games by itself? P.S. I'm sorry if there is already a topic on "Getting Started," but I did not see one. Also, I hope no one assumes I am requesting roms or bios. I know that is forbidden. Thanks! EDIT: I think I've got the basic set up... I downloaded the latest full release of MAME32, Cheat.dat (.108), mameinfo.dat(.108), history.dat (.108a), and highscore.dat (.105). Am I doing this right?

Is it an ISO image or on a disc? If it is on a cd, you may want to try a different cd plug-in.

Was he? I'm not too sure... Anyway, I started about 4 years ago when my friend told me he had all the N64 games on his computer. I really wanted to find out about that, so I got really into emulators. He also told me you could download PC games with something called "Azureus," but I had no idea what he was talking about. So I just dl'd Firefox 2 Beta 2, and I must say: I LOVE IT! It improves on many of Firefox 1.5's great features, like plug-ins and extensions, but it also gained some new features. It now feels a lot like Opera; Little [x] 's on the tabs, sleeker design... and other stuff. Another cool thing is a built in spell checker! If you misspell something, it underlines it in red. Then you right click the word, and it gives you spelling suggestions! Now none of you n00bz (<- it didn't underline that?!? ) have an excuse to misspell! Even now, 10 min after download, I am discovering new things. Woah, cupcakes!
