kof94te is officially at 1.2.4 (in current FBNEO and next HBMAME), but I'm waiting on 1.3 (not beta) to be released. sfz3mix is interesting in the wide-screen format (in FBNEO and HBMAME). Hopefully you can get it to run in Raine.

New things for next month (0.267): 1. The compiler version used will be GCC 13.2, unless some last-minute bug shows up. 2. I'm going to include software lists of my loose roms. These lists will be in a new /hash/more folder. The roms listed will have been tested to work in mame, but not included in any current software list. The lists are machine-generated so there's no year or publisher, and some details are guesswork. You might need to manipulate the lists to get mame to recognise them. I won't be supplying any roms so you'll have to find them yourself.

I finally got to add this game to HBmame 0.245.19, but a later version 2.0 - the odd memory mapping already existed for several other games for example samsho2sp, so no issue to add this one as well. I listed Bear as the author.

After some testing it seems to happen if you just specify folders as "folders". Try changing it to have the full path instead - it worked for me.
-
Yes, you're right. It seems to be ignoring everything in the Folders folder. I'll try to find out what's going on.

That's intentional, the pointer will always show in windowed mode. I don't know about alignment to the crosshairs, have you checked what mame does? Personally I don't like crosshairs and rather be rid of them and use the mouse pointer instead.

MAMEUI64 0.265.0 has been released. Available at https://messui.1emulation.com - Fixed a regression with the mouse pointer. Added some previews of improvements that might appear in MAME in the near future - Applied a fix for a last minute regression with some music synthesizers: https://github.com/mamedev/mame/commit/af6afca9a52b36f3b57cd174fa2a0b6bf1730524 - Sharp MZ700: Updated software list as per MT 08811: https://mametesters.org/view.php?id=8811 - Sord M5: Increase RAM to address MT 08796. https://mametesters.org/view.php?id=8796 Please note that on Windows 10 and 11, Microsoft Defender has recently been noticed to randomly flag and delete executables that are unsigned or not approved by them, with a nonsense virus warning. This can happen with any homebrew program, not just MAME. Please be careful. You might need to replace Defender with something more reliable.

The default keys for save states changed in MAME. Read: https://docs.mamedev.org/usingmame/defaultkeys.html Looks like you are pressing LeftShift F7. If the keys are not working as documented either delete cfg/default.cfg, or change the key definitions via Tab, Input Settings, Input Assignments (general).

HBMAME has a new PGM driver which is much closer to hardware than previously. If the game can't run on real hardware then it most likely won't run in HBMAME. Some of these hacks were created on hacked-up emulators and nobody knows what they did.
-
Have you got the descriptions of these sets? Otherwise I'll just have to say "unknown hack". EDIT: oldsplus211 has been added as "oldsps28". I was not able to get the kov hacks to work, so they have been left out.

I can't read it. Which button do I click on the 2nd screen?
