The emulator may either run from the command-line (like DOS), or be difficult to use. A front end puts a nice easy-to-use menu for you, so that you don't have to struggle with the unfriendly emulator, the front end does the hard work for you.

You are responsible for what happens with your account. I no longer remember the details but whatever it was, some found it unacceptable. You might have to PM Drake as he was the only one to keep a copy. And, this thread is now closed.

Mamesick discovered that MAME crashes when you try to do an audit. He has fixed the problem in his build, and you can get it HERE.

Back in 1970 some of the record companies tried this with the radio stations. The radio stations simply did not play the affected music, and about 8 months later the record companies caved in. But they have never forgotten.

But, if we don't want the extra stuff we should be able to safely remove it, and get back some performance.

This is another step on the road to the corporations running the USA. In this case, radio stations must pay extortion or get sued. Like the mafia in the old days, except this time it's sanctioned by the Government (corporations in disguise). And, because the stations aren't part of Big Corporation, they must, ergo, be squeezed out.
