  1. Really? Wouldn't putting an old xbe in undo all the new features that you've added? Anyway I'm not suggesting you go back to that interface. The way screenshots are displayed behind the game list in CoinOps for example is much nicer than the way they displayed in MameoX. Saying that I don't really have an accurate point of reference for how things actually look in CoinOps now. I'm assuming it looks basically the same, but R4 could have an interface filled with boobies for all I know, having not tried it. The only thing I really liked about MameoX over CoinOps was the fact that all the options were there for you to edit, and the categories helped. A video section for all the video related options, a memory section for all the memory related options and so on. Last time I used CoinOps I remember seeing options all mixed up together with their category written in capitals next to them, like 'VIDEO Sync smoothing' on the hidden settings for example. I always thought that looked ugly.
  2. I didn't know Liv Tyler had a sister.
  3. I didn't know there were nightly builds on the xbmc forums. I'll have to look for them. I'd like to be up to date, but I'd also like everything to work properly. I'm currently using the latest stable build from T3CH, not the latest bleeding edge build, coz when I used that one, the menus for xbox game trainers wouldn't display, on any skin. So I couldn't use trainers. So I had to roll back. I'm all for updates, but when they break things that have been working for years it annoys me. Are the skins in the SVN the latest versions? Or are the updated builds of those on the forums too? I like to have a selection of skins, sometimes I switch between them for a change, and Xbox-Classic is one of my faves, but like I said with the latest version from the SVN the filemanager is broken, same for Project Mayhem I.
  4. I know. It's a shame coz the Xbox version is actually better than the PC versions of the First/Second Encounters, in terms of content. It's all one story, you've got the cool phone box save points, improved models, fmvs. The texture quality is the equivalent of the medium setting on the PC but it doesn’t look any worse for it. Not so for number 2 though. PC version is far superior there. I remember there's some pretty bad screen tearing in the X-Men vs Street Fighter games under both CoinOps and FBA. It could be my TV though, as it's only a 50hz PAL 14" portable. Most games run above 50hz, so screen tearing may be unavoidable for me.
  5. I clicked to see the results before voting, and now I can't actually vote. I'd have probably voted for CoinOps even though I haven't tried the new release. In release 1 overall CoinOps ran most games better, which is the main thing. I did like the overall layout better in MameoX128 Plus, with L and R used to switch between option categories, and the fact that nothing was hidden, as in no advanced or secret options that need to be turned on to access things. Two votes isn't that big a lead by the way.
  6. Assuming you have an iphone. Modern Warfare 2 and the goggles are cheaper.
  7. Thanks for the info mate.
  8. Turns on Vsync: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertical_synchronization Doing so will eliminate screen tearing, but will likely cause a drop in frame rate. Turn it on only if you notice screen tearing in a game. The worst example of screen tearing I've ever seen is on Doom 3 and Prey on the PC. I have to have Vsync on in those or they're unplayable it's so bad.
  9. I must admit I'm a little confused about all the acronyms. There's lots of them. On Lemon Amiga, one of the games listed, Simon the Sorcerer II, says under hardware: AGA, RTG, PPC, Pegados, CD-ROM. Does that mean there's five different versions of the game available? Or that it requires all of those things? For Tower Assault there's two entries, one the CD32, the other ECS/AGA. Abuse says ECS/AGA/RTG. It's all a bit confusing for someone who's never actually even seen an Amiga. Is there maybe a list of games that work properly on WinuaeX?
  10. Yes, well done Kenshiro on sorting that out.
  11. Does WinuaeX play CD32 games ok? I definitely want the Alien Breed games, and the CD32 version is the best version of Tower Assault coz it has the fmvs. I just wondering if there are any Amiga games that the xbox would have trouble with. Coz the Amiga spans so much different hardware.
  12. That's the one. Now I just played the only two games I have that had any significant slowdown. Metal Slug 2 and Shock Troopers 2. Metal Slug 2 only has slowdown coz that's how the real game plays. So the fps was a constant 59.4fps. Now when I played Shock Troopers 2, I was suprised to see, it no longer has any slowdown for me. It used to slow down a lot for me a couple of releases ago. No longer. A constant 59.4fps on that too. Now none of the other games I have suffer from slowdown. Maybe a tiny bit on the other Metal Slugs, but that's probably how the real things are too. So I don't see any games dropping below that 59.4fps. Appart from on the green puke screen when NeoGeos are loading, the fps is shown as low at that point I noticed.
  13. Either that or if your chip has failed run one of the softmod exploits. I once put a corrupt evox trainer on my drive that completely messed things up so it wouldn't boot evox, or the MS dash. Back when I was using evox as a primary dash. Thing is I couldn't boot cds either coz I had my Xecuter2 bios set up so it didn't boot cds on startup. Big mistake when things go wrong. I ended up having to turn off the chip so it would boot the MS dash, then buy a mega-xkey just to use the Splinter Cell hack in order to get ftp access to remove the offending trainer. As soon as I deleted it and turned the chip back on evox booted up fine. I've just 'upgraded' to the latest XBMC myself. While I've been working with it I've set up my bios to load evox as my primary dash instead of XBMC like normal so that if anything goes wrong with XBMC it will load evox on boot instead of XBMC. And it's a good job I did. With the latest versions of the skins, which are supposed to be kept up to date by the SVN, there are a bunch of fuck ups. The most notable being in Project Mayhem I and Xbox-Classic, the filemanager doesn't display. And on several of the skins, like the Orbs and PDM, if you enable the login screen, where you can choose from multiple profiles, when you restart, you can't login coz the skins are fucked. Twice I had to use XBMC skin manager to reset to Project Mayhem III via ftp. It pisses me off that I'm now up to date, but I've taken a bunch of steps backward. More than half the scripts in the SVN are broken now, they just don't work with the new XBMC. The skins are all glitched in some way. And no one cares coz anyone who works on XBMC now only develops for the Windows or Linux versions.
  14. Yes there is. Somewhere. Although the last time I remember using the feature I wasn't sure if it was actually reading the fps correctly, coz it just stayed at 60fps no matter what game was running. Whereas in CoinOps even a game running at full speed would fluctuate between 58 and 60. That was a few releases ago though. I don't even remember what menu it's under in FBA, but I'm sure it's still there.
  15. Yes his hair is stupid, but it's also his face that looks wrong too. Cover his whole head and you're ok.
  16. I don't think I'll ever buy a Nintendo. I started emulating Snes one day out of curiosity, to see the difference between Snes and Mega Drive versions of certain games, then thought I may as well try out others that everyone raved about. But I've still not got round to properly playing any Mario, or Metroid or Zelda. I only got the GBA emulator coz I wanted to play the old Final Fantasy games, and the GBA versions were quicker to get hold of than the PSX versions. I'll get round to trying out other GBA games though coz there do seem to be some good ones. One day I might try emulating Gamecube on my PC, but just to play Resident Evil and The Twin Snakes. Nowadays it's only games like those that didn't get a multi platform release that would make me want a Nintendo. A lot of people will have actually gone out and bought a damn Gamecube just to play Resident Evil. But fuck that. It pissed me off to shit that the remake and Zero and 4 never got ported to Xbox, but I wouldn't waste money on a console just for a couple of games. At least I still have the original on PS1 and 4 on PS2. I never understood the Twin Snakes though. Sons of Liberty made it to Xbox, so why didn't The Twin Snakes? They were made around the same time. As for Wii. I don't want any Wii game. Ever. Look at me I'm hitting teh enemiez with my sword, swish swish, wooo. Lately I've started trying out emulating systems I've never played. I tried atari7800x but the games are a bit too old school for me. I tried bluemsxbox but the games are all Japaneese, next I want to try x68000x, and then winuaex. I think I've missed out on a lot of good games with the Amiga. I always had a PC, so it was DOS for me. I know a lot of Amiga games were on DOS and I could play those ones in DOSbox, but there must have been a lot of Amiga only games.
  17. Better not buy the new DS then, or it'll be gone.
  18. As the sequel gets closer to being released, I finally get round to playing the original.
  19. God yes instructions for lightguns suck. For me they need to make an LCD lightgun that can switch between Guncon1 and Guncon2 modes, nevermind multi console and vista support. I've got loads of PS1 and PS2 lightgun games that I can play at the moment on my slim PS2 with the one gun, coz it can switch between Justifier, Gcon45 and Gcon2 modes. But as soon as I get an LCD TV in my room, that gun goes out the window, along with my ability to play Time Crisis, Project Titan, Maximum Force, Elemental Gearbolt and RE: Survivor. I'm gonna try to keep hold of a CRT TV forever coz I know for sure they won't make an LCD gun for the Dreamcast. I know you've got the sucky port of HOTD2 on the xbox and Wii, but you won't get Confidential Mission anywhere else. Oh yeah, and the original HOTD on the Saturn. Don't see an LCD Saturn gun being made either. I hate LCD.
  20. Might wanna find out if he has a GBA SP.
  21. Know anyone who might be a crazy stalker?
  22. If they've made a MKII then maybe it's better. Many people reported calibration and accuracy problems. I've owned a fair few lightguns, and there's nothing worse than having a gun that shoots somewhere other than where you actually aim it. They should make more lightguns for LCD screens. The choice is limited at the moment.
  23. I've read some pretty bad reviews for that gun working in general, nevermind on an emulator.
  24. Hey I just remembered, I was the one who voted for background music. And now it's in. Ha.
  25. Ya know I wouldn't mind the girl in the vid so much if she sang the song a little better. Put some effort into it girl!
