  1. Bah, I don't have a HD tv. I don't even see an option to display in HD, is that something that just gets detected or is there an option for it like in CoinOps? If there was I'm sure I'd have made sure it was off.
  2. I've noticed when making my skin that the option to display a background image when playing vertical games doesn't work for me. When I enable the option and play 1941 for example the space at the sides is either black like normal or sometimes white. Oddly if I click the right thumbstick to open the mini menu the background image displays like it should while the mini menu is up, but then it disappears again when I close the mini menu. And it doesn't come back if I open the menu again. Not unless I close the game and start it again. Also when opening a moves list while playing a game, say for Street Fighter, the background image is supposed to display then as well but it doesn't, it's just a transparent square over the paused game. Does this happen for everyone else? I'm using FBA-XXX Pro v1.29c.
  3. Lets see, I have raidnfgt.zip for Raiden Fighters 1, and then rf2_2k.zip and rf2_eur.zip for Raiden Fighters 2. None are recognised by CoinOps but they're in the dat file. I'll try renaming the rf2_2K.zip I have to rdft22kc.zip sometime later and see if that works. Be nice if the 1.30 versions were added to Fba-xxx though, including Jet.
  4. That video's of Raiden Fighters 2. A most awesome game. Does CoinOps actually play that? I tried but it didn't recognise it. Same for Raiden Fighters 1. I know they're in the dat file, and I've got the right romsets for them coz everything checks out green in Romcenter, but they just don't show up in the romlist. The only way I've played any of the Raiden Fighters games so far is on MameUI on my PC.
  5. It's basically gonna be a variation of the default, essentially the same layout, and I've kept the transparant turquoise bars coz I like those, but a light background instead of black, and the main difference is the pictures. I'm using Mike Haggar instead of Strider, Ken Masters instead of Ryu and Bison, Terry Bogard instead of K, and the Black Heart plane from Garegga instead of whatever that wireframe ship was. I'm not 100% happy with the Black Heart pic though, it's a bit low res. I couldn't find any decent res pics relating to Garegga. It'll do for now though.
  6. Thanks very much. Some interesting stuff there. Was gonna rip the tracks from a copy of the Saturn Battle Garegga I'd managed to get hold of, don't need to bother now. But which are better? The original arcade tracks, or the Saturn remixes? Hard choice. I think I'm leaning towards the Saturn as I listen to them now. Either way it's Battle Garegga for my Others section track. I'm making a new skin to go with my music tracks of course, almost done now, got all the background pics done. Just need to make the Others track and an ingame track. I'm thinking Marvel vs Capcom music for the ingame menu, or maybe The Loop Master. Who knows? So many to choose from. I'll post it when its done if anyone wants it.
  7. So I got my Final Fight, Street Fighter and King of Fighters background tracks made, and they play fine in FBA at 64kbps, but I'm having trouble getting hold of a soundtrack to make one for the others section. Does anyone happen to have the Battle Garegga soundtrack, or maybe Battle Bakraid or DoDonPachi? Can't find them to download or even buy anywhere.
  8. Apparantly there were soundtracks released for DoDonPachi and Battle Garegga. If I can find them I'll give them a go. I took a look at the tracks in the Arcade skin that Mtsaint posted the other day, and they're at 64kbps. I'll try coverting my track to that and see if it works properly, although I don't think it'll sound great at that bitrate.
  9. Hi there, I'm new to the forums, relatively new to arcade emulation, but been emulating Mega Drive and Snes on the PC and Xbox for years though. After using MameoX 128 Plus for a while I found this place and managed to get hold of CoinOps and FBA-XXX. FBA is winning for me, the way it plays the Capcom fighters flawlessly is the biggest win for me. And I love the presentation of FBA over CoinOps, particularly the menu system and option to have background music. Which brings me to my point, I've been trying to make my own background music for the default skin but ran into problems. I've started by making a mix of tracks from the Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix soundtrack, to use on the CPS2 menu. I put the track I'd made into the default skin folder and edited the config.xml to point to it, and found out the hard way that it doesn't accept mp3s. Then I converted the track to wma and tried again and it played, but at super speed, like it was being fast forwarded. So, are there constraints on the track length and bitrate etc? The track has all the character's themes which comes to about half an hour in length, (overkill I know) so I made the wma's bitrate 106 when I converted from mp3 in Audacity to keep the filesize down. Does it need to be a certain bitrate and length for it to play properly? Also great news about the NeoGeo category being sorted, that was the only thing annoying me. Now to make a King of Fighters 98 mix track. I'm gonna be using tracks from Final Fight CD for the CPS1 section, not sure what to use for the others section though. Any ideas?
