Yes but I'm just saying that cutting it's head off, eating it's brains, toes and face is too extreme a method of killing a child if the motivation is just to get rid of it. Like you say, it's often made to look like an accident, which requires rationallity, and premeditation. There's no way in hell what this woman did could be confused with an accident. So the insanity plea here really will be accurate. She will be hospitalised, not imprisoned because that's how the system works. You may or may not think that's just but a regular prison just couldn't handle housing that kind of personality. Texas still has the death penalty if I'm right, so this woman will avoid the chair due to her mental illness, and a lot of people might be angry at that. But that's how it will always be in these cases unless mental hospitals start giving lethal injections to their patients that commited capital crimes.

That's looks like a regular online RPG. Not RTS. I thought you were wanting to send hoards of men with swords after hoards of men on horses and such, like in Medieval or Shogun.

I never saw the appeal of Pokemon. Hated the cartoon too. -
That sounds like a good idea.

They could make a number of download packs with new characters, but to make them worth even thinking about buying they'd need at least five or more characters per pack. -
I've read about this device before. Assuming everything works on it, it will be the only handheld console I'd ever want to own.

No, that's not how you get rid of a baby. If you really want to get rid of a baby you put it up for adoption. Or if you're too stupid to do that leave it in a basket outside someone's door or whatever. Or if you're really uncaring leave it in an alley like teenage mothers often do. But murdering the child in that manner, is a whole other level. Like I said, serious mental illness. The family were wrong to allow the baby to remain in her care, as were social services.

Tips to handling fraud/scams when scammed?
The-Ice-Man replied to LoRd_SnOw's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
You/your brother definitely need to speak to a legal expert before thinking for a second of paying the money. And tell them every detail of what's happened, as well as show them any paper work you have from the college and debt collectors. -
Definitely, there's nothing worse than games that don't let you skip video sequences. They make me want to kill.

I don't know anything about trading Pokemon, let alone pretending to in an emulator, but this thread is pinned in the general handheld section: http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17613 There might be something helpful there. I see this thread being moved into said section soon by the way. -

The number of characters is a real letdown. If you ask me, since there's no story to this, there should have been every character from the previous games. But it's ten times quicker for game makers to knock up 3D models these days then to draw 2D sprites. I hate this. There's much more character to a hand drawn sprite. The feeling and passion of an animation artist goes into it. But the fact of the matter is, a company like SNK simply won't pay artists for the kind of hours that more characters would take. I'd play this if it was free, but I wouldn't buy it. -
Tips to handling fraud/scams when scammed?

If when he enroled he signed a form which stated that the course fees were that much per semester, and he attended actual classes for that semester, then legally there's nothing that can be done. In fact legally he would have to pay, as it would be in writing that he agreed to pay that much for the service of education they provided. Even if that service was crap. If however when he enroled there was no form stating how much the fees were, then there may be a course of legal action to take. When I went to university, at the start of each year of my degree, we had to register. To register you filled in a form, which stated the tuition fees, and you had to queue up to pay the fee there and then, by credit card, bank transfer, cheque or whatever, before the semester started. If you failed to pay, you didn't get taught. Obviously if there was some special circumstance as to why you couldn't pay right away they'd allow you some time, but if you didn't come up with the money they'd essentially throw you off the course. The fact that these people taught your brother without taking payment is evidence of their fraudulent nature. But if they have his signature on anything that clearly states an agreement to pay those high fees, they may well have him. The only thing to do is to seek legal advice. But legal advice costs money. Even if they can't help you. I would be careful about doing nothing though. If these people keep calling it's only a matter of time until they start knocking on the door. -
That's probably true. If you wanna play a real time strategy online, play one of the Command & Conquers. I've never been into medieval strategies, but I'm sure games like Medieval II must have online modes.

No she's not. Her face + anorexic body = fail.

Yes, do this. I'm curious. I didn't think anyone would vote for it.

That's awfully extreme for post partum depression. The compulsion to do that sort of thing is one hell of a serious mental illness, and if she'd been diagnosed with such an illness she should have had the baby taken off of her and put into care.

Thinking about it, wouldn't that sort of thing be something that could be changed in a custom skin? I'm guessing from your skin project thread that you're maybe planning on adding the ability to select between multiple skins from within CoinOps. Or am I totally wrong about that? If there was the option to select between different skins then people could make all sorts of different layouts for CoinOps. Talented skinners anyway. And that would be yet another feature that MameoX128 Plus doesn't have.

So it is L and R triggers for switching option categories in MameoX. And yes I remember now, CoinOps is the same but with only 3 pages. I understand why you hide options, and that's fine, I guess I like to tweak things myself too, and I'm the only person in my house who even knows what an emulator is so it's fine to have all the options activated for me. I've just looked at CoinOps R3, (Dunno if things are different in R4) and looking at it, here's how I'd organise things in the settings menu. Bare in mind I'm just saying this is how I'd do it, not how you should do it. I'd have a page called Interface, and on that page I'd have all the options you have marked with INTERFACE, along with the ones marked FAVOURITES and the ones marked LOCK GAMES. Then I'd have a page called Video, and on that page I'd have all the options you have marked VIDEO, as well as ARTWORK and the ones marked WIDESCREEN ASPECT RATIO. Then I'd have a page for AutoFire, which would have all the AUTOFIRE settings. Then a page called Memory, which has all the VIRTUAL MEMORY options. Lastly a Misc page, with the BACKGROUND MUSIC, SPLASH SCREEN and SCREENSAVER options. Then for the options you consider advanced, they should appear under those said pages, but only after pressing a button. So you could have an icon in the corner saying press white to display advanced options, and when you press it the advanced options appear under those pages. Since the VM settings shouldn't be messed with unless you know what you're doing, the Memory page would be hidden entirely until pressing white. Having things set up like that would eliminate the need for the ugly looking CAPITAL markers. Anyway, that's just an opinion, and after all, this thread is supposed to be about how CoinOps is better than MameoX or vise versa. And when it comes down to it, how the settings page is displayed isn't really too important when comparing two emulators. Like I said, the way the options is set out in MameoX was the only thing I liked better than CoinOps. For the people who have actually voted for MameoX over CoinOps, what is it you like about it better?
-
Oh, well I thought that's how the options list worked in MameoX128, it's been a while since I've used it. I do remember it being some sort of left and right affair when you went into options. Probably the dpad then. You select options, then press left or right to switch between the different option categories. I knew that L and R fast scroll on the game list in MameoX128, and I'm sure you're right that it does in the options menu too. I just remembered wrong. Like I said I haven't used either MameoX or CoinOps in a while. As for game categories, we weren't talking about those. They're fine in CoinOps. We were just talking about option categories. Like video options, display options, sound options, network options, that sort of thing. The sorting methods for the games are all fine in CoinOps. Like you say, better than in MameoX.

Me niether. But: http://www.mmorts.com/index.php?cmd=games There's a few medieval ones listed.

I'm a little confused, which post is this in response to?

Thing is, Gambit is sometimes drawn to look like a complete douchebag. Go here and look around: http://www.freewebs.com/xmen-full-story/index.htm There's plenty of pictures showing how different all the x-men have been drawn. I wouldn't read anything there though. It's not particularly coherent, and I don't think in any real order.

That's nice. It'll replace the Metal Slug one then right? But you only see that screen once though, when you set up a fresh install. After that you never see it again, even if you update to a new build. You'll only see the splash screen again if you delete FBA's UDATA. I've actually forgotten what that message screen says.
