Emu Newbie

This looks awesome! I'd love to see doom running in 720p. I have doomX and that works really well - but no HD. I love how the Duke Nukem port looks - running in 720p. Keep us posted please!

I'm thinking and hoping that 320gb will suffice for ResX stuff- I'm looking just for - NES, SNES, Genesis/megadrive, N64, Atari2600, and Mame/neogeo stuff I got a 10gb file that was a coin-ops show case - and I believe it has all the videos and screen shots. I can't wait till the ResX stuff is released - hopefully someone will nicely package everything - so I can just FTP it on over

I couldn't find the example that I was thinking of but this will do but instead of having to back out to select your console - you could just hit left of right on the analog stick (to move to the next console)

Excellent work - will Coin-ops ever be able to play NES and atari 2600? That would be awesome to be able to launch this emulator and be able to play/and look at all of your different roms for different systems w/o having to back out of the emulator and launch another one. Also, would there ever be a way to have different themes (I guess you could call it a skin) for the different consoles w/in this emulator? Say you switch to a folder that has all of your SNES roms (and in the background you see a SNES console), and then you switch to the MAME games and you see the arcade w/ the game preview's playing on it? Just a thought. Keep up the good work!

I have some AID discs (that's part of what I used to soft mod my xbox currently). So everything you're saying makes sense. I'll let you guys know when I get it all together. So anyone have an idea how much longer the resurrection Xtra stuff is gonna be finished?

will this method partition correctly for a much bigger hdd?

I believe I'm gonna go w/ the 320gb hdd, does anyone have a recommended tutorial on how to put the HDD into my xbox? Thanks! also: does anyone have any ideas when resurrectionX will release his large packs of roms/emulators/pics/previews in torrent form?

What would you say the price range would be on a 250gb - maybe even a 150gb I'm looking just to fill the xbox w/ emu's and roms (all that Xtra stuff - previews, box art, etc.) Ben

Well mine boots to the XBMC screen and I still have to select programs when it boots. But it goes straight to the emus in the program section. Is there anyway to make it skip the (Programs. Music, Videos, Options) screen on bootup and goto the emus? Also, What skin are you running fuman? I am running the standard PM3 xbmc one.. THnaks!!! Same thing happens to me. Is there a way to go straight to the emu folder upon startup of xbmc?

Yes I see the details on the first page. I was wondering if someone had some pictures or videos. Or even some specific comparisons to those other programs. For example - how does metal slug run compared to FBA-XXX. Can you run all of the same games that CoinOps can run?

I tried to softmod a friend's xbox, w/ my splinter cell game and a memory card he bought from the local gamestop. I transferred the splinter cell linux file over to his xbox and attempting to load the profile. When doing so a microsoft error came up. After rebooting the xbox, it was fine. Did this happen b/c I forgot to slide over the SID, or is there another splinter cell file that I should have transferred. For reference - I have the original splinter cell game (not the platinum edition). Thanks!

Good news. I opened it up and just clicked the ide cable back in and it started up fine. Thanks for the suggestions (I borrowed the torx bit from a friend).

Do think I could find torx bits at home depot?

The disk begins to spin up, then it stops. So maybe the cable is loose? How would you suggest that I get in there? I know I'm gonna need some special tools. I guess my suspension is a bit too harsh for the old xbox, eh?
