After 1.46 some of the alternate sets were removed and merged for ease of use. different crcs on the m and p roms are likely your problem. A pain if you ask me, but i just run 3 versions of kawaks at once (1.46 loader, 1.48dev and 1.49-51) meh... that progear thing is a real mess. Yes, a jump from 256 to 512 should do a lot actually. BUT!! You're upgrading to 512 at a price of $100?! That is the BIGGEST rip off ever. Hell, 512 mb modules cost less than 100. 256 mb ones should be less than $40.

Also, the legality of NoCD cracks is iffy since if you own the software, I think it's legal to use one. But don't post it here since the rules are not only against ROMs.

Hey robbbert, I had to edit your post because that site has ROMs. But a summary of what's going on is that Raz is ROM hording again. Guru will not dump any ROMs for a year now (read Mr. X's post above if you haven't already). Perhaps James has some more indepth knowledge about this and can shed more light on this. But why the hell did Guru sell a donated board? The plot thickens...

KOTOR 2 was never exclusive to XBOX, it just came out first and they aren't necessarily ports. It was made simultaneously for PC and XBOX but they need extra time to make some technical changes for PC. It's coming out next month I think...

If you have proper ventalation and the drives have adequate space between them, you don't really need those coolers. Hard drives usually never get THAT hot. Can you give me a link to the one you you have?

Well if the hardware is bad then the software won't run. I guess you can look to see if everything is seated properly, all the connectors are tight, the cables are nice and neat. But the real test is if it runs software.

Yeah, the full version is A LOT better.

They give a numbered score. The higher the better. The difference between 05 is that it uses a lot more advanced graphic techniques and it just looks a helluva lot better. But 03 looks awesome too, the nature scenes are always great.

I think the general consensus is that SNM shouldn't return.

The reason I'm suggesting 3DMark05 is that it tests the graphics card too. The true PC torture test is Prime95 which puts your CPU and RAM through hell. Atleast with 3DMark you'll be able to see how well your PC does 3D. Oh yeah, don't be dismayed when you get low scores, EVERYONE gets low scores. That program is made to use graphics that games won't be having for a long time. If you want to, you can get 3DMark03 (there is no 04) and run that. Atleast it'll run faster than 05 and it still looks good.
