  1. We'll have a 1Emu group trip to the Land of Remedy and Nokia to have sex with emotionless cute programming chicks.
  2. To answer the title of this thread, yes, many people have played games on their PSP. However, they haven't played pirated games...yet.
  3. Oh crap, I forgot about RomCenter's rom link. I thought they were legit...
  4. Vocal reduction but most of the ones I came across were karaoke which would do. Thanks for the help. If anyone wants to know what song I'm trying to remove the vocals from is Cell by The Servant. They're not releasing the instrumental for it and I don't want to wait till the Sin City OST comes out.
  5. 6. For convience sake many comics and graphic novels are packaged in.cbr form and you can use these readers to read them without having to unpack it. As far as I can tell they're basically just.rar since I've converted them to.cbr by just changing the extension and you can unpack them that way too. Hey Elazul, what server is on? I'll probably pop by this weekend.
  7. Also, you should get RomCenter to check your ROMs against MAME and Kawaks dats. It's a very useful tool. Get it at -bleh- Mod's edit: You know, as horrible as it sounds, the RomCenter homepage has links to rom sites.
  8. Yes, this game will take it's own sweet time to come out. Now how many companies do you know can work on a game for as long as they want and not have to succumb to publisher pressures? Any game development firm would love to have the same power as 3DRealms. Hell, just yesterday team leader George Broussard said they have no idea when they'll be done in efforts to dispel rumors of DNF showing up at E3.
  9. I got some plugin from the Winamp website and it blew chunks. But I think it's because of the song I was working with, the lyrics are at a high level with the rest of the intruments. Getting rid of the vocals also took much of the music away so that sucks.
  10. I think it's the name of the team that hacked NRX to allow those games.
  11. AAAH!!! I say that all the time and that commercial was before my time! Damn you Dennis Miller!
  12. Oh crap...you're right. Time to delete my posts.
  13. that's another thing. I wish I could get comics by artist. instead of by title. I don't have the tyme to research who drew what when then download a huge pack that only has a few issues I want. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Some people have it by artist. Atleast one person will have it by artist so you can just use their file list as a guide. That's how I'm getting them.
  14. A great place for comics is DC++. Sultan told me there were some good hubs and boy was he right. Almost everything I want is there. Right now I'm collecting graphic novels (I'm more interested in those) mainly by Frank Miller and Alan Moore. I'll move onto regular comics after I get my fill of graphic novels.
  15. This is the error I get: I'm using the latest GCC 3.3.1 or something like that. But I have WinAPI 2.4, is that too old? EDIT: Nevermind. I upgraded my Win32api to 3.1 and it compiles. YAY!
  16. I think everyone knows "You Are My Sunshine."
  17. I tried compiling this but failed. I'll just stick with 0.2.94.9.8 till I learn all the ins and outs and get some experience.
  18. All Things Considered on NPR (Internet Broadcast)
  19. I'm looking for a plug in that subdues the vocal but doesn't hinder the instrumental too much. I know it's impossible to strip the vocal track from an MP3 but I'm sure there's something that can do the job somewhat.
  20. I have my sister's real key if I ever need to use it! Muaha!
  21. Many people want to work in the gaming industry. It's like how every woman want's to be an actress, now every young guy wants to be in the gaming industry. Of course, only a minute fraction of them get anywhere. Not to cast any doubt but always have a back up plan.
  22. http://www.actiontrip.com/releasedates.phtml I don't know how reliable those are though.
  23. Yeah, Duke is a shallow caricature of big muscle action heroes with a touch of John Wayne. Hell, there's another musclehead, Sam from Serious Sam. The mod team could have easily made another character like that.
  24. I said $100,000 is NOT the basic salary of a n00b developer. Most n00b developers work for large publishers like EA and get shat on. PR people make more than the developers.
  25. I think you have a major misconception that game developers are all young and rich. Not everyone is a Carmack (though they wish they were). I really don't think that's the case, it's only the case if you started game development early on in the business and, made hit games, are more or less independant (even some teams owned by large companies like Bungie), and are one of the founders or main members of your company. I don't think game designers have $100,000+ salaries.
