I just want to start over again and get everything with the proper names, proper CRCs, and all that jazz like James. I still have my old ones and quite a few are fine so I won't redownload those.

Because of the large amount of stress I'll be dealing with this semester, I wanted to start a project where I could escape my work...so I have decided to redownload my entire ROM collection and learn how to compile my own FBA (eventually MAME) build. Thanks to Weirdanzeige and Ghost for help. Anyway, when I tried to compile FBA version 029498, this is what happened.

Everytime I install an anti-virus program it says I have to uninstall the current one.

I just got it and installed it...the site was fine for me. It was just released so wait for a bit and mirrors will pop up. Anyway, I installed it on my C:\ with Windows so if any really bad Spyware comes on, I can just reformat and get rid of it all.

I don't like Batman Beyond or the new one, the others are good though.

I'm going to get BitComet and give it a go, I've been hearing lots of good things about it.

Try getting VLC Player and see if it plays in that. Also, get Gspot: http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ It will tell you what codecs that file requires and if you have them or not.

YO VIVO EN VAAAN CIRCA DE UN RIO! Matt Foley was a great character. But, I guess we'll have to wait and see the implications of the CELL processor on the rest of the market. No amount of speculation will predict actual market performance and hardware/software quality. So far I've only read some of the article but it seems that PCs and another consoles (since the rest don't use CELL) can still compete due to GPUs which are immensely powerful. Imagine PS3 with next gen Nvidia hardware...I can't wait to see tech demos and games on this console. But one thing to keep in mind is Sony's love for super hype...remember what they did with the Emotion Engine and how they said PS2 would be like a supercomputer? I still have reservations but am very interested in how all of this turns out.

I'm reading that right now and was about to post it. But I found this quote shown on Slashdot to be interesting: flocking amazing. I wonder if we'll be able to buy them easily like current processors. But most software right now only supports x86 instructions so they'll have to have support for CELL now.

Oh man...I need to get one of those.
