  2. It would be nice if video card manufacturers licensed this tech and put it on their cards so we don't need two of them.
  3. Now that games are using physics much more it's about time that someone made a Physics Processing Unit. Someone finally has, I present to you the PhysX: http://www.ageia.com/ It'd be nice to offload the physics processing which is done solely on the CPU onto a seperate processor which will increase the amount of physics in games. I feel this is the one segment in games which will truely make them more realistic since graphics are already damn good. Right now the most physics in a game is Half-Life 2 and that's really not that much. Imagine fluid dynamics, realistic particle effects, more physical objects...drool. Anyway, here are some more links that deal with this. http://www.gamers-depot.com/interviews/agiea/001.htm http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/03/08/news_6119895.html An interview with Tim Sweeney: http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/03/08/news_6119896.html Microsoft's XNA will support it: http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/7778/Microso...ces-XNA-Studio/ UbiSoft will support it too: http://www.ageia.com/pr_03082005b.html
  4. Well...its a legitimate story. If ABC news can report it, I don't think it would be a problem... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I got mine from Reuters. Let's just see if he's let up a bit.
  5. Meh, I played the demo and didn't really enjoy it. But the animations were cool, I'll give it that.
  6. "I did not have sexual relations with that cow, Bessy." I remember I opened up a thread about a man having sex with a donkey and GC deleted it.
  7. Both emulators are good but both need a lot of work. It's too early to start to definitely say one is better than the other. One does ARM9 stuff more and the other does ARM7. I think both Mic and Two9A are doing exceptional work they should be both be appreciated despite at what stage DS emulation is that.
  8. No sh!t. What gave you that idea? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You were yelling at Microsoft, who made the system, for not making gameplay good enough. Shouldn't you be yelling at Bungie or some other company that actually made the games for having such dreadful gameplay? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well Microsoft owns Bungie now so they aren't an independant developer. No matter how independant MS will let them be, they can still be given orders from the top. However, I think MS has given Bungie A LOT of freedom (unlike what other development houses ala EA and Ubisoft) so I pin the suckitude of Halo on Bungie. Hell, their last three games have been pretty lame: Oni, Halo, and Halo 2. They just need to make another Myth game and all will be well. I'm actually looking forward to Pariah, looks pretty neat. And yes, the old Halo was going to be so awesome. It was on my list of "must buy" games. But then they scooped up by MS and ten switched to FPS and then to XBOX only. I remember watching the first public showing of Halo...it was jaw dropping! I don't think I've seen such a badass teaser to this date, except for the DNF 2001 trailer.
  9. Aye. Paul W.S. Anderson is like a direcotr god compared to him. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> God...it's definitely a sad time for movies when that statement is true.
  10. Awesome move GC! It's nice to be able to host such a promising emulator.
  11. Anything Uwe Boll touches or even looks at turns to gooey crap.
  12. I just check the magazines out for pictures and read the previews. I rarely ever read the reviews.
  13. This is pretty big change for Sony and something very odd for a giant Japanese company. But I think the majority of Japanese people won't care as long as they keep getting their seizure inducing games.
  14. Interesting. Well with a bigger team they can definitely make two games at once.
  15. There is no need to post MAME news since that's James' job. Atleast don't post it here, do it in the MAME section. Also, once the front page update is made this will either be merged or closed. But damn them and their quick updates!!
  16. Well what I said is a rumor too since no one has officially said anything.
  17. I'm pretty sure they're not working on Halo 3 right now. They've moved onto another project code named Phoenix that's been in the backburner since their Mac days I think.
  18. I do like Play magazine. I discovered it not too long ago at Books-a-Million.
  19. Oh don't worry about that, he's said that he's filing it in Nicola Salmoria's name. You can basically detach this guy from anything MAME since that's not his focus, he just wants to keep it from being sold commericially which is what's being done by some arcade vendors. He's targetting a whole different demographic with his machines, not people like us.

  21. Why? Isn't it a good thing when developers have as much time as possible to make their game to put as many things in. If Microsoft rushes Bungie and puts a strict release date, they'll have to cut stuff.
  22. Hmm...is there no way to set Zone Alarm to let a BT client work? I use BitComet, I don't know how that works with ZoneAlarm since I don't use it.
  23. You don't have to put 'ion' after '?'. ? is a question.
  24. It's definitely some good stuff. I really like the important information part, more emu authors need to do that.
