  1. After reading all of the above, I can say that I'm very proud of my mom (being a single parent, and the fact that I've never met my father - and he died in 2002). Anyway, I've had all kinds of arguments with my mom over what I should and should not do, but I chalk that up as two very strong-willed people trying to cope with each other, and that my mom truly worries about me. The bad part of this is that she still feels that I'm not fully able to take care of myself (even at the age of 27, mind you), and this quite literally keeps her up at night when she thinks how uncertain my future supposedly is. Even so, my mom is very far from being a control freak, but she is strikingly old-fashioned when it comes to certain things, and the same trait can be found in her brothers and sisters to a degree. It's very troublesome but does a good job showcasing the generation gap, where our opinions and views are very far apart. Her brother is quite an extreme version of this, as he thinks that credit/debit cards are unreliable and always pays everything with cash, sees everything from video games to home theaters as evil --- and openly chastises today's youth (myself included) for being work-shunning techheads that do not appreciate the ways his generation was accustomed with.
  2. Still waiting for the admin powers we used to have.
  3. It's most likely not a problem with the ROMs you have, but rather wrong savetype settings that the emulator uses. Make sure that No$Gba emulates the proper savetype for the MySims games. If you don't know what the right savetype is, experiment until you find the right one.
  4. Ah, right. Say Android, makes more sense.
  5. Got my copy of Assassin's Creed II today in the mail. The Internet is probably playing second fiddle for the majority of the day.
  6. Well, it's probably no help to you, but my copy of Nebula has macros for KOF94-99. I don't know if they're supposed to come with the emulator or not.
  7. It would probably be easier if you'd google the right macros instead of trying to do them by hand. I'm not the expert on these thing (I can do these motions without any problems, and I've never needed macros), so hopefully someone else has better advice. Hell, write to ElSemi and see if he has some advice for you. P.S. KOF games on the Neo-Geo have an abbreviated input method, i.e. to do a HCF motion, you only need to input b, d, f quickly.
  8. Critter Crunch. The challenge stages are a bitch.
  9. Judging by the review and the score, your sorta kinda tolerate it despite some very moronic design choices from the developer's part. In regards to the combat system, I also remember reading somewhere that while doing a combo, you can't block until the combo has finished --> Dante is left unceremoniously under attack during combos with no chance of defending himself. Is this true? Also, supposedly the level and enemy design is marvelous in the beginning, but also descend into mediocrity the further you go. Any truth in this claim? Oh yeah. Having to do a puzzle/rotate something while enemies respawn around you ad infinitum makes me RAEG. I remember there being one such instance in God of War II and it wasn't too bad, but developers really shouldn't resort to such choices. Good review, no doubt about that.
  10. That's roughly the same quote I've read in many reviews of this game. I'm taking it that you haven't played it? Once I finish it, I'll tell you more about it. No, I haven't played it.
  11. The only emulator I know that runs the arcade version of Rival Schools well is ZiNc.
  12. That's roughly the same quote I've read in many reviews of this game.
  13. Personally, I don't really mind if an action game (especially of the Hack & Slash type) doesn't have much if any replay value once you've perhaps cleared the game on the hardest difficulty settings and unlocked most if not all trophies. In fact, I'd be more than surprised if a game of this type really had some replay value beyond all that. Wait. Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing a Boss Rush mode incorporated into a hack & Slash game.
  14. I feel as if Darksiders is nothing past plain, good, the puzzles are a bit aggravating, however the combat is pretty enjoyable. Well, the graphics, sound and voice actingg are above par. The combat system is neat and complex. The only real problem that I acknowledge so far is that each button has so many different uses and the game expects you to press some fairly daunting combinations in the heat of battle. Like so: 1. Lock onto an enemy by holding R2 so you'll keep it in view. 2. Press R3 to go into targeting mode 3. Paint lock-on targets by selecting enemies and objects. 4. Press and hold R2 to charge and throw the Chakra-type weapon. 5. Don't forget to move and dash around with R1 while doing all of the above, and probably mix some jumps and attacks in there with X, O, and Triangle as well I think I'm in need of a third hand or something. Also, War can only block while standing perfectly still. Trying to move results in a dash.
  15. All hail Cheech. Man, I love that guy.
  16. I would love to say 'Old Spice', but I don't have such luxury. In truth, something between sweaty and not-so-sweaty.
  17. Well, since nullDC itself starts up without issues, that's good. Now, crashes can also happen with certain plugin configurations, so you need to tell me what your currently active plugins are. It doesn't hurt to update your graphics card drivers from nVidia's site just to be on the safe side, either.
  18. Like I said before, the crash should have nothing to do with the game or the disc image you have. Does this error message come up when you start nullDC or after you've booted the game? What kind of graphics card/chip you have and when was the last time you've updated its drivers?
  19. Just watched Judge Dredd from 1995. Fun movie, in a good way.
  20. If a program gives you a generic Windows error message and does not run, it's impossible to tell what caused the problem in the first place, and has nothing to do with the game you are trying to play. Your computer information says nothing about the graphics hardware in use. Graphics cards and chips that are either poor feature-wise or have outdated drivers may cause programs such as nullDC to terminate with a generic Windows error message. This is only a somewhat educated guess, and there could be a number of reasons why the program crashes. It could just as well be that your computer simply does not like nullDC 1.0.4 and and an older version works just fine - but again, this is just conjecture. P.S. You don't need that many BIOS files with nullDC. The emulator only cares about dc_boot.bin and dc_flash.bin.
  21. Read the board rules or face the consequences.
  22. Oh yeah, I forgot that. Got to love creative uses for the SIXAXIS.
