  1. I guess I should start thinking about preordering Vanquish, since the release date is the 22nd. There's also going to be another Vanquish demo shortly after the game's release, but I don't think I will wait that long.
  2. Beat Challenge of the Gods in God of War after three solid hours of cursing and checkpoint restarting. Christ on a stick what a bitch that ordeal was. Never again. That Platinum trophy is starting to look mighty fine now, only needs more Jason McDonald. P.S. Challenge 10 is made of nightmares. Fuck Challenge 10. Game engine quirks don't help either.
  3. In the process of sorta speedrunning God of War. Well, sub 5 hours would be nice.
  4. Masters of Doom, yes? EDIT: The shit that revolved around Romero and Daikatana is pretty legendary by itself. http://www.johnromero.com/games_daikatana.htm
  5. I don't have a man cave either. My stuff is neatly placed in the living room.
  6. GamesRadar and TheSixthAxis are the bestest sites evar
  7. I was under the impression that the game ends after you beat the final boss and you then get offered a New Game + of sorts and start from the beginning of the game. As for the stat boost question, I was wondering if you get some tougher enemies once the game is beaten, since you said that you're racking something like 250,000 EXP per battle. Or is that kind of EXP the direct result of Item Creation hijinx?
  8. I read. A lot. Yes. This is more or less linked to the fact that I'm a PAL gamer - this region has been shafted for decades when it comes to video game releases, so I've had to dig up as much information as possible about release dates, publisher/developer intentions and interactions, conversion specifics and the like in the hopes of getting to play a particular video game sometime in the future. Sure, things have improved tremendously now that we've got these HD consoles and all, but craving for more information hasn't really subsided. Sometimes, but mostly the first tidbits come from various aggregator sites. While company sites do like to showcase the new titles, they're often filled with too much marketing speech and gimmicks (and flashy Flash animations) to be of use as a veritable information source (considering the things I want to know). There are exceptions, of course.
  9. Ah, right. No I won't clarify, that explanation was decent enough.
  10. So you can keep the characters' levels, yeah? Given that, the monsters also get some kind of stat boots or something?
  11. Often both, unless I'm absolutely certain without a shadow of a doubt that something is the way I remember it. Well, you weren't completely off. Atlus publishes a lot of the non-mainstream JRPGs in the west. Not caring about publishers, very likely. Most gamers do however, care a great deal about who developed a given game or a series of games, especially if it's a well-established series. Case in point: Silent Hill. Also, if there were ever any rumors (or a solid confirmation, god forbid) that the next Final Fantasy was being developed by someone other than Square Enix, all hell would break loose.
  12. Front Mission has always been developed by Square Enix, save Evolved which was outsourced to Double Helix Games (a western dev of Silent Hill: Homecoming fame) and the first, which was developed by G-Craft. As far as Ogre Battle (PlayStation version) goes, Atlus didn't develop it, just published it for the US market. The original SNES version was published by Enix. In the same vein, Atlus didn't develop Demon's Souls either, merely published it.
  13. I don't do them fags, but I like it when people talk about things related to smoking.
  14. Trying to find a job, failing at it. Playing BioShock to vent my frustration.
  15. Seems like every average American sees the rise of socialism in everything.
  16. Depends on how extreme you are in your views, I guess.
  17. I think it fits. well, I'm the kind of person that likes to hear Patrick Stewart talk.
  18. Tried the Castlevania demo and liked it. Sure, too short, but the combat system is solid, and graphics and sound are awesome. High profile voice acting as well.
  19. We don't need any Naruto shit in a thread that deals with Tekken Tag 2.
  20. Just downloaded the Castlevania demo. Haven't played it yet though.
  21. What the fuck? Seriously. Wii was supposed to have all the useless peripherals, but Kinect/X360 too?
  22. I remember passing 169 hours at the point where I am now, which is still on Nox.
  23. ARC compression is hardly a new thing when warez are concerned. But yeah, unpacking can take really long depending on the size of the release and compression ratio/options used.
  24. That's what I would like to know, too. Every single game in the Onimusha series has been awesome. PROTIP: Jean Reno is the fucking boss.
