Gotcha. But is there a list anywhere of *all* the working games? It'd save me a lot of time and guesswork if I had one since I don't remember the names of all the ones I added before. I could have sworn I saw one up on Google Docs a while ago but it's not up there now. i remember something about that but wasnt that for mameox128 though.not that it matters because gamewise both emulators are about the same.

Right, but there are a lot of games not included with those 1000 roms that I'd like to play. I know they work too because I had them installed on my Ignite & pre-Ignite emulators and they booted + ran fine. I remember reading somewhere that these 1,000 games were taken from a list of 2,500 confirmed working games. Isn't there a list available anywhere? I thought the Ignite packs only came with 1000 games because it's all that would fit on a dvd? if they worked on ignite and preignite then they will work just fine on hte newest version,that 1000 game list is just recommended games you can add any games you like,that worked before. like i said the 1000 recommended games is what it says it is recommended games to try/have.

stick with the basic pm3 skin that you get with xbmc,its the nicest and cleanest looking skin.

if you already have the 1000 or so games that were recommended for ignite then if its games that are from the 80-mid 90s then most should play fine. there isnt any new screenshots or video packs released yet.as for the screenshots you have norkusa that was the last pack released. i have pmd the people who have asked for reignite just remember this isnt with the new games added that is being worked on.this is the last version from august and is the current version until the next release.

Tech released a new verion of xbmc just last week so yeah you will have to update xbmc and as for the emus well they are all up to date apart from the mame ones and fbaxxx. i think you get mamedox1.1 and mameox128 with aid and fbaxxx pro1.28 IIRC.

Thats helpful. As for the setup files, I'm not sure really. I was speaking from a PC perspective of having an install disk of all the common apps/programs you would want to put on a fresh install. I like to keep everything in one place so if I ever have to reformat or do this for someone else, I have it on one disk. well you have everything you need in the auto installer disc,version 4.50 is the most up to date version and was released in june of this year. you dont need anything else when it comes to adding apps,emulators,formatting hdds.....etc

well if you want the most up to date then get aid 4.50 instead of slayers as slayers was last updated 3years ago. aid 4.50 has all the newest versions of all the apps and emulators. when you are talking about media players xbmc is the no1 choice as for setup tools what do you mean by that??

the steps are very simple if you have a chip in fact its a piece of cake. 1.install chip. 2.download slayers auto installer 2.7 or auto installer deluxe 4.50 3.burn installer iso to disc/dvdr. 4.flash chip with auto installer 5.take out old xbox hdd,put in shiny new one. 6.put auto installer disc back into xbox and format new hdd. 7.then install whichever apps you want from the disc,it does it automatically.my suggestions xbox media centre as main dash,unleashx as an app and dvd2xbox as an app. check over at xbox scene on how to flash the executer chip bios correctly because if i remember the xecuter3 chip has 3 banks you can flash as in have at least 2 different bios on your xbox that you can switch between for playing online if you wish. there are plaenty of threads over there concerning which bios you should flash especially seeing as the older bios(really older bios)have a 137gb limit.

ive heard of this happening with games like strikers 19452 and 3 but i dont think i have this problem with those 2 games,might have a check later. edit/i just tried those 3 roms you posted and i never got any problems with sound maybe its just your roms,have you tried different versions?? I havent tried different versions as i'm not sure which versions will work, Coinops is built on 0.84 so will any version rom work or doesnt it matter ? you can use any version because it isnt a rom that gets updated in the different biulds of mame so just go to your favourite rom download site.

coinops reignite is based off mameox084 and the baed mame disc is also based off mame0.84 as it has the mame0x 0.84 3b emulator on it.firstly put coinops reignite on to your xbox hdd then. if you dont have enough space on your xbox hdd then you can put the baed disc into your xbox dvd drive then go into your settings and set the rompath to g:/roms this will let the emulator read the disc off the dvd drive.but obviously the baed mame disc doesnt have cps1,cps2,neogeo....those are on the fbaxxx baed disc. so if you wish i can tell you where to get a coinops romset with all the neogeo,cps1,cps2 stuff and a lot of the games that are on baed mame if you wish. or if you have the baed fba disc thenyou can just put that into your dvd drive and let coinops read the roms. i tried it and it played the neogeo stuff just fine. i can pm you a link to coinops reignite which is the newest version of coinops but you need 3 posts to activate your pms so just respond to this post.

instead of doing it in the config try just going into your settings and put the settings in vmm(virtual memory manager)just remember if you get it to load and play then once you finished playing put vmm setting back to automatic.

bp some people over at shmups forums say they prefer the earlier versions of coinops as you could rotate the screen and not have the controls rotated as well,obviously because they rotate their tvs.this is the option they seemed to miss. dont know if you want to put it back in but i thought i would throw it in there.

great news to hear on air attack and task force harrier those were the 2 shooters i wanted to try.also great work on osman being playable that is awsome news thanks again to iq 132 and bp,finally i can get to try osman when this released.osman is meant to be as good as if not better than strider. and what with mushimelisima futari 1.5 being announced this week as being region free for the 360,its defintly been a good week gaming news wise.
