coinops reignite is based off mameox084 and the baed mame disc is also based off mame0.84 as it has the mame0x 0.84 3b emulator on it.firstly put coinops reignite on to your xbox hdd then. if you dont have enough space on your xbox hdd then you can put the baed disc into your xbox dvd drive then go into your settings and set the rompath to g:/roms this will let the emulator read the disc off the dvd drive.but obviously the baed mame disc doesnt have cps1,cps2,neogeo....those are on the fbaxxx baed disc. so if you wish i can tell you where to get a coinops romset with all the neogeo,cps1,cps2 stuff and a lot of the games that are on baed mame if you wish. or if you have the baed fba disc thenyou can just put that into your dvd drive and let coinops read the roms. i tried it and it played the neogeo stuff just fine. i can pm you a link to coinops reignite which is the newest version of coinops but you need 3 posts to activate your pms so just respond to this post.

instead of doing it in the config try just going into your settings and put the settings in vmm(virtual memory manager)just remember if you get it to load and play then once you finished playing put vmm setting back to automatic.

there is actually a clone/bootleg of fighters history called "the history of fighters" which works on a different driver from fighters history.i tried it in coinops before and got it working,it played well if i remember but was a while ago. lol. Try it in MAME. bp some people over at shmups forums say they prefer the earlier versions of coinops as you could rotate the screen and not have the controls rotated as well,obviously because they rotate their tvs.this is the option they seemed to miss. dont know if you want to put it back in but i thought i would throw it in there.

ive heard of this happening with games like strikers 19452 and 3 but i dont think i have this problem with those 2 games,might have a check later. edit/i just tried those 3 roms you posted and i never got any problems with sound maybe its just your roms,have you tried different versions??

great news to hear on air attack and task force harrier those were the 2 shooters i wanted to try.also great work on osman being playable that is awsome news thanks again to iq 132 and bp,finally i can get to try osman when this released.osman is meant to be as good as if not better than strider. and what with mushimelisima futari 1.5 being announced this week as being region free for the 360,its defintly been a good week gaming news wise.

actually i would say the ebst version of the surreal emulator is the original v1.0 as their is none of those plugins to mess around with and i find a lot more games actually play better on it,especially goldeneye. super mario world super mario kart goldeneye super smash brothers sin and punishment ocarina of time paper mario these all play great on the surreall emu. really bp you could just use an earlier version of the surreall sourccode if you are just planning on launching cerain games which i am assuming will be the more popular titles.

Imperfect sound is a definite possibility. I'll add it to my list of things to look at. i dont know if this would interest you or not iq 132 but would it be possible to get the raiden fighters drivers ported. bp managed ot get raiden fighters 2(2000)chinese hacked version to work on xbox and the us single board version of raiden fighters2 works on mameox 128 but with really bad sound.also on mame 128 you can get the us single board version of raiden fighters jet to load but it will just play the attract/demo screen,once you put credits in and press start it crashes. dont know if you are interested in porting these drivers but i thought there would be no harm in making a request. thank you.
