before i start this post i would like to point out that the original developer of these games released these roms as freeware or whatever its called,so this does not break any rules of the forum. Do you remember the MSX?? It was a computer that was extremely popular in japan in the 80s,development of games mostly stopped in the late 80s but a small trickle of games were devoleped in the late 90s for the machine,mainly homebrew releases. A japenese homenrew games developer called M-KAI released some games for the MSX-2 in the late 90s early 00s. there were 4 games in total,3 shmups and one rpg. the developer releaed these games in rom form last year and the site they were available on is now down.so here are all the games that he released. when using these roms on an emulator,set the emulator to msx2 or msx2+. pleasure hearts. kyokugen and there are 2 other games in the download,1 is another shmup and 1 is an rpg. link. http://www.mediafire.com/?meemdynlntm use bluemsxbox for these roms and set the emulator to MSX2+ when you select a game.

forgot to add a20 that if you are a big fan of shooters then check out the pc engine/turbographx/pc engine cd emulator medafenxpce v4 as that is THE system for shmups.

the has been brought up before the only thing i can suggest is that you delete the clones and keep the parent roms,maybe someone else will have a better suggestion. resx does have a datfile its about 725 games or something like that,take a look in his thread for fbl that he made it should be posted there.

yeah the only way to play raiden 2 and raiden dx is on pcsxbox and they are arcade perfect ports.(check your pm). there are the xmv files that dam-soft uploaded for coinops reignite,do you want links for that??

for all the games listed you can indeed use final burn legends or coinops reignite. raiden 2 and raiden dx are not emulated on mame for xbox and it still is not emulated on mame for pc properly.to play arade perfect ports of these 2 games download the ps1 versions and use pcsxboxv20. also marvel vs capcom 2 was ported to the xbox as a retail game along with capcom vs snk2 and are very easy to get a hold of.

most people are using the videos from coinops reignite showcase with final burn legends,basicaly pointing the path.ini file to the coinops video folder. Fumanchu, Could I get a little more help on this...I have the coinops showcase file and already moved it to the xbox. What do I need to do next to get FBL going? thanks you have to go to your path.ini file in fb legends and look for one of the rompaths for displaying videos and then just alter the rompath to point to your reignite videos folder. for example. f:/apps/emulators/coinops/videos it just depends where your videos file is at on your xbox hdd.

i have been trying to get the new neogeo hacks running on coinops and i still am having some problems. i have the uni-bios 23 in the neogeo.zip and i have the correct roms but every time i load up a rom i still seem to be getting the warning screen and nothing happens. i did try and go into the uni bios menu but i cant see any settings that can help me.i remember someone said that you had to run the game and then save it. when they say save it i presume they mean go back to the romlist and load up the game again,well i tried this and still no luck. edit/i also have the unibios setting enabled in the main settings of coinops.

Back on december the 23th cave released Mushihimesama Futari black label,region free.i got this shmup last week and it is totally worth it if you are into your shooters. it was announced this week that the regular edition of espgalauda 2 black label will be region free as well,but the limited edition is region locked for whatever reason.the release date for espgalauda 2 black label is febuary the 25th. and also it was announced that the gothic horror themed cave shooter called deathsmiles will get a release in the US courtesy of askys.i just hope askys make the us version of deathsmiles region free. also ketsui will be getting released on may 5th but there has been no announcement yet weather or not this will be region locked.

if you have a full mameox 128 set then most of those will work fine with coinops,the only roms that might be different is the neogeo roms.

there are a couple of members here that have the xbox you mentioned with the bigger processer and ram,they will be able to tell you a bit more about it. as for mameox 128 the code for that was never in coinops/mamedox as far as i remember.

you can also try and look for baed 3a(mame) which is pretty much a full set for mame 0.84 apart from cps1,cps2 and neogeo which are not in there. but if you have baed 3a then this will give you all the roms you need and you can add to coinops.

i can tell you that there are some improvements with 5.1ce and if you use the ini file you will have all the best settings as far as i remember you do get some improvements with n64 emulation but you have to remember surreall is optimised for a stock xbox with a 733mhz processer and 64mb of ram as for other emulators i dont really think it would make much difference and that includes mame. as for you mentioning the x68000 emulator that already runs full speed,what to do is in the options screen when you select a game set the speed to 16mhz,this overclocks the x68000 cpu and you will see a difference if you think some games are slow.

this new version does not add anything that is not in surreallxxx b5.1 ce,stick with that version.there is a new ini fiel for this emulator which some members at xbox scene have been testing games to find the best compatibility. here is the ini file just replace it with the ini file in 5.1ce or whatever and run the emulator. http://www.mediafire.com/?mtynmv1qtgo you might need to delete your gamesave in t and u data foldrs and then start the emulator.this has all the best settings. edit/i should mention that v6.0 could possibly have some changes in the gui,buti am not sure.

pretty sure you can run doom in 720p hd with doom legacy,i know that you can set it to different resolutions. check your pm.
