i dont know if the ps1 core is going to be added to coinops but i thought it would be a good idea to start a topic about it anyway. there are a lot of arcade games that were ported to the ps1. if the arcade version already plays fine in coinops then its not worth listing them. so list them. Streetfighter alpha 3(because this has more characters than the arcade game) raiden project(raiden 1 and 2) raiden dx(remixed version of raiden 2 with fantastic music) soukyrentai(port of an arcade and saturn shooter) zanac x zanac(compiles last shooter before they went bust) capcom vs snk(great port of the naomi/dreamcast fighter) tekken 3(only the jap version works) strider 2(just bloody great) gradius gaiden(ps1 exlusive) giulty gear(ps1 exclusive) castlevania symphomy of the night there is more i am sure so list them..

thought i would make this topic to help some people who are always requesting or having problems with the midway games on xbox mame. mortal kombat mortal kombat 2 mortal kombat 3 Ultimate MK3 rampage world tour narc primal rage fist of all. MK1 and 2 and narc can be played on mamex-b6 for xbox but not mk3. mk3 and ultimate mk3 can be played on mameox 0.72 they can be a little jittery sometimes but they are still playable.you can also play mk1 and 2 and narc on mameox 0.72 but i would suggest using mamex-b6 for these games as in my opinion i think they play smoother. also rampage world tour plays ok on mameox 0.72 as well. other alternatives. there were some discs released called midway greatest treasures which had the above games apart from ultimate mk3. a while back someone ripped mk1,2and3 from these discs and made them playable via a menu system.also last year primal rage,narc and rampage world tour were ripped from these discs as well. they have their own default.xbes so you can launch them from your dash. if you want to play the ultimate mortal kombat game then i would suggest playing the ps1 version of mortal kombat trilogy as it has all the characters and a hell of a lot more.plays great on pcsxbox. you can also play rampage world tour on surreall 64xxx(n54 version) or pcsxbox(ps1 version),both arcade perfect ports.also the sequel rampage world tour 2 which was a console exclusive plays great on surreall 64xx as well. EDIT/primal rage was ripped from the midway discs and plays great on xbox,all the midway games on these discs are the actual arcade games emulated so no shoddy ports. dont bother with the console ports of primal rage as they were pi$h.

its the mk games from the mortal kombat pack,but i suppose the rest of the midway games could be added from the midway arcade treasures disc like primal rage,narc,rampage world tour.

when you put the roms into the roms folder in coinops you did put them in seperately instead of just whole folders of roms?? the screenshots will not appear until the roms show up on the rom select screen.

try turning off flicker filter on xbmc and see if that helps.

no probs i have added the original d-pad hero game in the first post as well,you should grab that as it has a great version of sweet child of mines by guns n roses,nes style.

discworld 1 and 2 were both released on ps1 and sega saturn so use pcsxbox and emulate both the games with it.they both work and are playable according to the ps1 compatibilty list.

lol i need a ps3 ;-P any word on games like mk2 mk3 and ultmk3 running at full speed with sound or will that be an emulator on the 360? he is talking about running coinops on the original xbox which a guy called trusty over at xbox scene will mod for you,he basically does the following 1.puts in 128mb of ram 2.puts in a 1ghz processer.

yeah i know about the dingoo,but i have a psp which can do all that stuff already.well it did until i decided to put back the original firmware. cps2 and neogeo emulation on the psp is fantastic. and i know about the rainbow edition of streetfighter2,i have it on coinops and final burn legends.there is a pretty good hack of rendering ranger for the snes by bonus jz. you guys should keep a look out for it.

so how about actual xbox retai; games have you tried any yet?? just curious more than anything and also how long did it take you to recieve the xbox from trusty,as in from the day you ordered it to the day you recieved it.

simple question,whats the best streetfighter 2 hack out there??as there are tonnes and also what other hacks do people recommend trying arcade or console,post them. this is my fave hack,ultimate mortal kombat trilogy for the megadrive. plays great on neogenesis.

i have this on 360 and that is a pretty good suggestion for a skin,it gets my thumbs up.

resurrestion +1 for the neogenseis emulator trouble shooter aka battle squadron in the west. battle squadron2,never got released outside of japan. and finally an xbox game called wreckless double steal2(not sure of this actually got released)

none would be the answer because if you take a look at maws. http://maws.mameworld.info/maws/ it will tell you that the game was first added in mame 0.89 and mame on xbox is currently at 0.84 but obviously it has had a lot of new gms added thanks to iq132. so its no for now me thinks.

any chance of a standalone release once you have it completed?
