  1. i thought ID is going to work on a modernized Quake 2 (intended to be a budget title as far as i know) within the short free time after Doom 3? anyways i wish they would make something NEW, not another sequel to their line of FPSes. and btw, that shot of an e3 girl,.......doesnt give her justice
  2. statistics shows that Asian arcade gamers (more than likely Chinese) are KOF/SNK nuts and in the US: SF/MVSC/2 gods
  3. good? theres only one utility that exists for this purpose and thats "Redump". get it here
  4. i guess i suck badly this time. this is the 10th time that ive redone all the steps and im still getting exactly the same error i posted on the first page. any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance. (edit) found a problem similar to mine solved at RomShare. nevermind
  5. after a good night of sleep, i kind of liked it more thanks anyway GC mods can close this thread now, i think.
  6. ive always wanted to register to that place back when they started the layout (and the download system) on their site. one thing that just made me back out is that i just didnt find out if its free or not, until i eventually forgot the site itself. theres always blah and blah jr. for console/handheld rom downloads anyway.
  7. i say they did a good job with it time to change the sig (edit) anyway i still want to know who did and whats the reason for this. thanks in advance.
  8. just noted this a moment, who the hell changed my Member Title? i dont mind the new title (i even think i could keep it that way ), but i want to know who did this and why.
  9. i cant get it to work too. heres my error: MinGWC:\fbasrc>make >log.txt src/burn/neogeo/neo_run.cpp: In function `int LoadRoms(NeoGameInfo*)': src/burn/neogeo/neo_run.cpp:522: error: ISO C++ forbids variable-size array ` buffer' C:\MINGW\BIN\MAKE.EXE: *** [neo_run.o] Error 1 i modded the code slightly in neogeo.h though, since "extern int ncthd2003;" already existed, i decided to add "extern int nnPCM2Value;" instead, but im not sure if that made it worse (?)
  10. havent tried it yet, but that was goddamn awesome work you made there! i want metal slug 5 code too you foo! j/k, though i really wish one exist
  11. even Metal Slug 2, 3 and 4 are now being sold as a pack for the PC by Mega Enterprises. from what ive heard, its not worth it (some parts slows down even on the greatest of machines), considering that its also using its own customized emu, this is big turn off factor for me. youre better off playing them with your emus.
  12. hrmm...i didnt imagine the homage, but oh well
  13. err...i dunno . maybe thats some japanese reference to referees. i dont even know if i could call that a ref since it doesnt really do anything other than what i said (and that is actually the most useful ref ive seen in a game).
  14. actually just setting it to autoframeskip can do the trick, with your PC the speed will still be flawless anyway. in my 300 Mhz @ frameskip 0, the games play fine for some time then for some reason, it would speed up to 75 fps. not sure about the warping sound effect.
  15. not really kuroko but thats the ref, which you can call in to be your human shield or throw him to your opponent, neat stuff
  16. there must be something wrong with your romset (mainly the P1 file). or post your driver and ill try and see whats wrong.
  17. because he posts 50 times more than you. Rocket Science!!
  18. haha Bootlegs! i got almost 75% off the neogeo ROM library from those (and saved humongous downloading time because of it) so dare i say "W00t!"
  19. i dont get it, whats with the dollar sign? i dont use it and i believe neither should you. the only files you need to modify (for banned neogeo games support) are d_neogeo.cpp (in most cases this is just what you only need to edit but there are a few exceptions), neogeo.h and neo_run.cpp ive only used MinGW for compiling so if you use anything else (Cygwin, VC++), im afraid i cant help you.
  20. the problem was that even gaming mags believed that there was sheng long. they just aded up to the hype. in fact the first time i saw a screenshot of it wasnt from EGM, its from a Gamepro mag.
  21. i think he means errors, not warnings. warnings are for the most part harmless but errors (for the most part again) stops the compiling process. i think someone in here has a FBA compile setup that can be used out of the box (i think its ForceX but i cant remember clearly). you can asking him for help. i wish i could help. i forgot how i setup my FBA compiling environment since i hadnt even touched it for a long time now
  22. you may want to try compile with either Cygwin or MinGW instead as those have basic compiling covered in the source docs.
  23. it may or may not come out, EFMP or not. nothings certain, only time can tell.
  24. well thats originally my plan too, but i needed something to pass time so there it was i can pm you a link if you wish (it is the bad one though - as thats the only one out right now). ill look again for the patches to fix the C ROMS (16 MB though). reply back if youre interested.
