It will function on any Windows program as long as you have the appropriate drivers. For linux, they are part of the linux kernel tree (gamecon). For windows, I'm not too sure where to get them. Try googling.

there's a lot more that can be done with a modded PC. emulation on xbox is limited by it's processing caps.

http://www.driverguide.com/ If you have a Knoppix or some other linux boot disk, you can use lspci to check what the PCI device id is for the card. That's the most accurate way of checking what hardware you have.

What's all this hype abt Xbox modding? It's like ppl don't realise that their cheaper but more powerful old PCs are perfectly moddable and instead choose to settle on something that wasn't designed to be modded in the first place. An old baby form is easily more flexible, powerful and smaller in size than the clunky piece of luggage called the xbox.

If it were up to me...i'd still say DON'T. the lowest end PC on the market today is much more powerful that the xbox and it does most of the stuff you need and more.
