  1. Hey BP... Besides all the new tweaks, did we also get NUMERICAL COORDINATES DISPLAY when resizing a game? I mean... the WIDTH, the HEIGHT, and the offset (x & y) position? Thanks, Cospefogo.
  2. May I send you a fine bottle of red wine? CHEERS! And THANKS!!!!!! C.
  3. BP my man, Is the current R4 version showing some kind of numeric guide/coordinates/screen size when we are doing the "ADJUST SCREEN SIZE" operation? I had no time to test it yet... but I think I will create some new hahex-edited CoinOPS for some screen sizes I have forgot and I will finally try the R4. If it shows numeric info on the screen size adjustment it will be superb!!! It will save me a lot of work! Other thing I was thinking... Maybe is it possible to add a new "parameter" (totally optional) on the command line shortcut? Something like: <aspect ratio>Original</aspect ratio> or <aspect ratio>Default</aspect ratio> This can force the game to run on it original sizes, like for example, 320x224, 304x224... etc etc. Just thinking. Best, C.
  4. I really like the idea of showing the game info in a overlay on the game select menu. Superb! C.
  5. SHOCKING NEWS!!!!!!!!! :) :o :o :o :o :o
  6. In my opinion SAVE/LOAD states could be eradicated from the face of the earth. I don't like to cheat while gaming. Ha ha! Cospefogo.
  7. Alas, People from Europe and Asia already can get it. It's simple to get it there, if you know what I mean! Cheers, Cospefogo.
  8. Superb, my man! Thanks again, honorable Fu Manchu! Cospefogo.
  9. No no no... You did not get my idea. I don't want to have sections between the roms. I don't want to have a CPS1 group, a CPS2 group, a NeoGeo group. I just want a single romlist, with everything organized from A to Z. Cps1, Cps2, NeoGeo, others, all mixed in a single and only list of games. Anyone? C.
  10. The title of the topic is pretty direct... How to have a single romlist? I don't like to press L & R triggers all the time to browse my games. In the past +T+ sais something that this was possible... but how to? I did inspect inside the .INI files of FBA and apparently I have not found anything related! Thanks for you attention, kids. Cospefogo.
  11. Great!!! Today I am running like hell here, but in the weekend I think I will be free most of the time. If I can catch you online, it will be great. Otherwise we can talk next week. Thanks, BP.
  12. I choose the REAL size, centered, with NO scalling, and no smoothing effects. That's it. This can solve 90% of the problems of the mankind! C.
  13. Jesus Christ. Oh my Lord! One or another could be GREAT. Maybe the XBE with no scalling and making the screen centered could be better yet. I know that MANY games will be dead (cropped out the screen) but MANY MANY MANY games will get SPECTACULARY HOT!!!!!!!!! Wow. Hats off!! C.
  14. BP, I have a question! Is that possible to "read" from inside a ROM the original screen size/aspect ratio that it uses? In a positive case, it could be marvelous, shivering, spectacular, admonishing to have something like I show on the following image. It is a pain to need to go to internet all the time to search for the real screen size values of each game. This could save a lot of time for people hunting correct aspect ratio. Another thing: Is that possible to have an option in the "secret advanced options" to giving the users a choice to choose their own SAVE DIRECTORY NAME inside the TDATA and UDATA? Please check the magenta arrows on the image: Regards, Thanks for your attention! C.
  15. Jesus Christ... Here goes Cospefogo again babbling about the COIN BUTTON! This is a verified bug by +T+ on FBA 1.28. The coin button can not be remapped! Matter of fact it can, the option is there, but the change does not make any effect! Thanks, C.
  16. Hey BP, Check the "cover-flow view" present in the skin xTV for XBMC and you will see what I mean. I will get a shot of my shortcuts for FBA in action later tonight. Now I am deep immersed in a superb Zelda Twilight Princess session. For The-Ice-Man, You can get all the flyers in you want a larger size here: http://arcadeflyers.com/ Cheers, C.
  17. Your FBA skin is exactly the same what I did here, but I did using SHORTCUTS in a folder. =D Very nice. I like this cover-flow thing VERY much. C.
  18. Hey guys, I don't know who made each skin, who made other skin, etc etc... But in my, my very own view ----- the skin for CoinOPS is perfectly fine. I don't like some stuff on it, but it WORKS, and this is the most important point. A skin for software, or a GUI for a software, SHOULD be clean, simple, and comfy. Must be light! Not overloaded with crazy colorful backgrounds and so on. There are five aspects of ergonomics: safety, comfort, ease of use, productivity/performance, and aesthetics. 99,9% of people who create skins for this huge world of emulation out there simply does not have the technical knowledge to create a really good product. All I see (with RARE exceptions) are people creating skins that look like Books in CYAN pages with text written in flash MAGENTA letters. How someone can read a book like that? Seriously, I really don't get how some people can use COLORFUL backgrounds crowded with ten thousand elements over it ---- HOW CAN YOU GUYS READ anything on it? Where is the usability of it? * * * From Wikipedia: Usability is a term used to denote the ease with which people can employ a particular tool or other human-made object in order to achieve a particular goal. In human-computer interaction and computer science, usability usually refers to the elegance and clarity with which the interaction with a computer program or a web site is designed. * * * A graphical user interface (skin) that not complains with the minimal guidelines of usability and ergonomics is like a hammer made of rubber, you can't use it on iron nails, well... you can even get a result, but it will be really painful. It is like a see-saw that doesn't cut. It is like a web form page where the submit button comes in the top of the page, before any other field where you should fill your data. Again, don't want to be rude to anyone, and again ---- This is my very own opinion --- The actual CoinOPS Skin is fine. It is ok. It works. On my setups I have change some visual appearance of elements, but the overall concept is fine. And I really don't like to talk much about skinning, I release my grands, publish the links and who enjoy, be my guest. I avoid to enter on this discussion because I know people will think I am envy of the success of the other skinners out there, but I am not, I really ASSURE YOU, I am not. I just wish that people could understand how important is the ergonomic aspect of the whole thing called "SKIN". Otherwise we will have the world of emulation being filled with garbage from now to eternity. Best regards, Cospefogo.
  19. Arguments ASIDE... Please... I beg you guys, one of you can --- pleaseplease --- fix the COIN BUTTON problem? For God, I can't be REMAPPED. Jesus Christ, this kills me! C'mon guys. There is no need to fight! Cospefogo.
  20. Yes yes... I am using the first Ignite release. I had no time to hunt this new version yet. Thanks for you attention, BP. Best, Mahavishnu Orchestra.
  21. My turn... Numbers for the screen size and coordinates on the adjustment screen feature? Or even... the possibility of leading a CUSTOM pattern to be presented there, instead of the black screen. Correct aspect ratio is important for some users. Please? Best, C.
  22. Uppa! How the new credit control system work? And what is the custom INI control changing? What is this? I am curious... Regards, Cospefogo.
  23. Hey BP! Maybe I am being so silly... I have not tested the rom yet on the emu! I am only testing/verifying them in the RomCenter against the CoinOPS recent Dat! I migrated the Metal Slugs from the FBA-XXX romset to my PC. Then, I performed the Rom auditing using the CoinOPS dat. Metal Slug 1 to 4 were marked as OK, Playable, Green light! Just Metal Slug 5 gives me errors all the time ON ROMCENTER. Maybe should I try to run the rom in the emulator anyway? I was relying n the auditing thing. I will try later today with all 3 or 4 versions I found out there! Thanks BP! C.
  24. Gentlemen, I am having problem to run Metal Slug 5 on my CoinOPS. I am using the Metal Slug 5 right from FBA-XXX 1.28 romset and there is no way to make it work. Metal Slug 1 to 4 are superbly good, I did use Romcenter with the CoinOPS dats and everything went fine... however I had no lucky in Metal Slug 5. I did try several new versions from the web and always the same... RomCenter tells me the game is broken, missing roms, unknown roms, etc etc. Is this game really running fine on CoinOPS? Or am I getting crazy? (Much more than what I already am...) Regards, Cospefogo.
  25. But FuManchu, Is it running only in Kensho's 1.29 or is it running too in the old +T+ 1.28? Thanks, Cospefogo.
