  1. I had success with netplay using MednafenX-NES, but it had lag. Not a terrible lag... but annoying as well. I tried NeoGenesis, and it was unplayable. At those times, I was thinking it could be related to my poor internet connection... Maybe it is not? Bigby, what is your DOWN/UP link? Mine is 1Mb down and 100Kb up. Cospefogo.
  2. Was it a FRIDAY 13th? Creeping... C.
  3. This is HK$ Build: http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17869 Released back in 2006. Never, ever updated. HK$ is gone forever. This guy is a mistery. Nobody knows nothing about him. C.
  4. I like PhilExile's suggestion. The horizontal game list scrolling could be nice because it provide us much more room to display the screenshot. I would make some small changes, but the concept is good. BP, do you think you can "code"a similar skin for us? Just the skeleton if it... I don't have any idea how to transform the vertical listing in a horizontal scrolling bar like displayed in the mockup. Cheers! Cospefogo.
  5. On the most recent release (by Fu-Manchu megaupload link) the save directory is e:/tdata/babe9999 Greetings to the community, Cosme.
  6. RIGHT ON THE SPOT. I also got this bug when I was playing Double Dragon, on the exact same point. After that, I did not have the time (nor the patience) to try it again and confirm the problem, but looks like it is really there. BP, any comments on this? I have no idea how such problem could be fixed, but if it is possible, please, do it for us. After all, we are not talking about any given game... We are talking about THE CLASSIC of the classics! DOUBLE DRAGON 1! Thanks, man. And thanks Phil for reporting this problem. I completely forgot about it. Cospefogo.
  7. Alas, The universal truth was spoken here. I bend on my knees. I say Hurrah. I pay my prayers for the Ancient Old-Skool Gaming Gods. The SATURN PAD is the most pleasant controller in all world of videogames. SNES? For me it is garbage next to Saturn Pads. There is nothing better than use three fingers for three buttons. And regarding the AUTORIFE settings, I was a big lover of HK'S AUTOFIRE setting present on the IN-GAME menu of each game, it saved my life many times on Raiden, the game where the tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap-tap is sooo tiring. But in the end I get used to live without autofire after the CoinOPS advent. And: BP, I did send some MSN messages, but I think you haven't got them... Let me ask again - Do you think it is possible to extend the Pixel Perfect support all over Final Burn Core? This way I can - pleasantly - GET THE HELL RID OF THOSE other emulators (FBA-XXX 1.28, FinalBurnLegends) and stick with only the best universal solution for Arcades, the CoinEATER. Thanks! Cosme. ALSO: I am a BIG FAN of hidden settings, INI settings, XML configuration. This could be transparent for the regular ordinary users, and at same time, can give a lot of flexibility to neurotic users like MYSELF. Anything you could put on the INI/XML will be a bless for us. And will not bother anything else. =D
  8. Aaah yes!!! Superb news then!! I had a very crazy week... Did not get a "real free time" to spend on the Xbox. But weekend is getting closer! \o/ C.
  9. Hey there! The only thing can think about skin matters is the possibility to control the "extra information overlay box" position. I really would like to be ale to move it anywhere in the skin, to be able to adjust it where it better suits me, just using coordinates. C.
  10. I think I can do that... But the package will be around 80Mb if I am no wrong. Check it back soon... C.
  11. Hey there, BP! Sorry for this long delay in getting back with news, but I was flocked under heavy work all last week and also during this weekend. Man, I did some tests and everything looks right, but there is ONE ISSUE LEFT behind... When we do MOUNT SCREEN ON VERTICAL (please note, using that exclusive option for it) the pixel perfect stuff is broken. The games are slightly "squashed". If you want to see what I mean, check GREEN BERET. Turn the vertical screen ON and launch Green Beret. Insert coin. Wait for the intro screen where it shows the P.O.W. tied asking for help (this shows before the game begins...) PAUSE here. Check the ground. It is made by 1px per 1px pattern of black and green color. This is a perfect example where we can check if there are distortions or not... and you will see - it happens here. Also, please note, this is not related to the ROTATE VERTICAL GAMES. This option is superbly fine. No problems at all with it. If possible, take a look. Thanks! Cospefogo. PS. I can provide a picture to show the problem if needed!
  12. Hey Alvarez-Seven-Three-Five! It's nice to see you here, brotha. Really nice. Now we will have a new comrade on the Dark Pest world... I just set up a complete "Cospefogo's Install" on Yoshitake's Xbox. I did send back to him by regular post last friday. Let's see what happens! Cheers, Cospefogo.
  13. They are intended to be used on custom dashboards, like XBMC. You should rename the icon as DEFAULT.TBN and place it side by side to the DEFAULT.XBE executable file from the desired game. Just drop the DEFAULT.TBN inside the game folder. Also, you might need to empty you thumbnails cache in XBMC to see the new icon in action. Cheers, C.
  14. Guys, Keeping that wonderful collection alive! http://fancyxbox.info/?doc=1&secao=xicons Enjoy! Spread! Cospefogo.
  15. BP, is that possible to add PIXEL PERFECT on the FINAL BURN CORE? If we have in MAME, I think we should have on it too. People who use PixelPerfect for sure will enjoy it on both cores. C.
  16. The real thing is: Harsh people love to come here, to criticize, to preach hatred in the topics, to insult, to call it names, to speak bad, to mumble jumble, but in the end --- I BET MY $66 CENTS --- THAT THEY ARE USING, PLAYING AND ENJOYING GOOD MOMENTS PROVIDED BY COINOPS EMULATOR. Those people should keep it simple... If they want to help, then HELP. If they want to bother and just lose precious time from other people, then - as I already said - B E G O N E . F O R G O O D, D A M N ' I T . I am sick of that. I feel pity for people that love to act as they have the KING ON THEIR BELLYS when they are behind screen computers. Leave CoinOPS in peace. Never a Mame Emulator were too far and never had so marvelous results. I DON'T CARE HOW. I JUST CARE ABOUT ------ IT HAVE BEEN DONE! AND VERY WELL DONE, for satan's sake. A HELL OF A JOB. Regards, Spitfire.
  17. BP... [PESTER MODE ON] Don't forget to add in the INI the option: AlwaysShowSplashScreen = 0/1 Please..... please... please... =P [PESTER MODE OFF] Cospefogo.
  18. Hmm... This is delicate. I think it depends on bios, am I wrong? My EVOX bios uses C:/evoxdash.xbe I have a custom shortcut renamed as EVOXDASH.XBE that points to E:/APPS/XBMC/default.XBE Most of the people out there keep their XBMC at E:/APPS/XBMC, but this can't be guranteed at all. With all respect to whom who asked for this feature, maybe it is a bit hard to have it working 100% perfect. Hope I am wrong! C.
  19. Opa! No problem at all!! It's nice to be able to lock things --- INI wise. I see it more as a security feature. Since it is on the INI, its focus are the experienced users. And the experienced user, most of the time, know what they are dealing. It's a good feature for people with CABS. If I could have a CAB, It could be nice to set up all PIXEL PERFECT and other stuff, and then... after everything getting neatly adjusted, LOCK OUT the settings. No neighbor player or friends devilish children could be able to UNDO my settings anymore. I think I will use it to protect even ME from MYSELF to breaking things that are good. Ha ha ha ha ha. Thanks BP. C.
  20. In which respect ? Do you mean for console roms ? Do you mean presentation ? I will be honest here, ive been waiting nearly a year now for you to impliment this "xbmc" style GUI. If find this exciting as it opens opportunities for some neat ideas especially the way we view our roms and media. I also like the way you have hidden important settings from non experienced users, this makes a lot of sense and avoids kids or inexperienced users borking things up. If i could make a suggestion it would be to "password protect" settings or impliment "profiles". Profiles could include "kids", "my profile" or "Admin" etc and have to be logged on to with a password. With each profile allowing a limited or full access to options. I know you have "Advanced" settings but this can be accessed by anyone if they venture into the options/settings menu. Discuss ! I think that a simple switch on the .INI files is enough to separate the experienced people from the amateur ones. To separate the children from the adult. To separate the super player from the occasional player. In the MAMEOX.INI SHOW_ADVANCED_OPTIONS_SWITCH = 1 Then we have the ADVANCED OPTIONS ON/OFF option inside CoinOPS, like it is today. SHOW_ADVANCED_OPTIONS_SWITCH = 0 Simply the ADVANCED OPTIONS ON/OFF inside CoinOPS menu goes completely away, disappears. Gone for good! This is nice to prevent *any* human being to mess with the super sharp configurations made by the emulator owner. =D Cospefogo.
  21. Hey Zhoul, Yes yes, I am absolutely in concordance with you... But I think BP will not work on that. He already stated that sooo many time before. Unfortunately we will have to find other ways to achieve our personal goals. Me, for example, even with this super-duper new pixel perfect CoinOPS, I still keep 6 different installs in my Xbox. 1. CoinOPS Lucky 7 Covers all games *different* from 320 and 304 pixels in width, and runs with 10x11 pixel aspect ratio OFF. We have here also the 384 games with the fix-width trick turned on. 2. CoinOPS 10x11 Covers all games in *exact* 320 and 304 pixels in width, running under 10x11 pixel aspect ratio. Why that? Simple, 10x11 on 320 games simply clears/fix the left and right overscan almost perfectly. And why I did add the 304 to the group? Simple, 304 + 320 are all the NeoGeo games. I wanted to keep all of them together. It was not good to have Samurai Shodown 1 and 3 in one CoinOPS and Samurai 2, 4 and 5 in another. Why not having the games from the first group merged here also? Because the first group games are all narrow than 320 and 304 in width, and there is no need to make them yet smaller in width by the 10x11 pixel aspect ratio. And one more thing... 10x11 requires emu reboot, so it's annoying to keep rebooting anytime you need or don't need the 10x11. 3. CoinOPS Vertical Shmups A separated CoinOPS with all the shmups that are really vertical, I mean, the ones that we really need to set to autorotate to be able to get pixel perfect. Raiden does not fit here because it works fine on the CoinOPS #1, with acceptable overscan on its top border. So, as you may notice, I needed to manually separate the topdown shooters that do not need to be rotated to get pixel perfect from this group. 4. CoinOPS Capcom only I wanted to separate all the Capcom from the other games to better check for problems or abnormalities on all 384 trick. And some games are even playable with 384 fix OFF. And two more? Yes... I still keep one CoinOPS for Contra and other for Super Contra. The screen can't be centered for those, it need to bottom positioned. And they are tooo tall. CoinOPS PixPerfect does not "cover" them. And I am thinking in implement a 5th one, just for PunchOut and Super PunchOUT. They are nice games. Will use the same method used for Contra and Super Contra. Always on the eternal *workaround* when dealing with Arcade Games... =D Cospefogo.
  22. Yes, I understand your point, but in my opinion, my personal way of thinking, CoinOPS is fine the way it is now. 100 times better than it was in the past, and 10000 times better than any other MAME emu. My collection of arcade games is around 700 titles, and the overscan under 2X really does not bother me at all. An yes, I would like to be able to slide the screen anytime, for some game or another, but since this will not be possible, I did take it out from my mind for quite some time. Peace, man! Regards, Cospefogo.
