  1. I got a compiled version of mame32k that plays kof2003 from the newsgroups. Check alt.binaries.neogeo Also, make sure you have the neogeo.zip bios in the folder with your rom, or else mame won't "see" it
  2. How could you guys have forgotten about the master of dirty fighting, Sonny Chiba? If any of you have seen "The Street Fighter", you'll know what I mean. Good stuff.
  3. Wow, I haven't tried it yet (no gamecube isos), but it sounds very promising. Who would have thought there would be a playable Gamecube emulator released before a Dreamcast emulator? In fact, the x-box and ps2 emulators are coming along quite nicely as well.
  4. http://www.click-now.net/cgi-bin/download.pl?file=0021 Here ya go. I use 5.5 myself. I tried nero 6 and didn't like it.
  5. There may be some corrupt frames in the avi file that are actually causing the error.(That happens a lot with downloaded files) You can use divfix to check the file for corruption, and fix it quite easily. http://divfix.maxeline.com/index.php?targe...owdoc&docid=355 If there are no corrupt parts, then try to encode the file with tmpgenc. I haven't had any problems with it. http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_main.html Here's a good guide to using tmpgenc. http://www.dvdrhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm
  6. Just do a little reading in the forums instead of making stupid demands. All the info is there, if you would take 5-10 minutes to actually look for it. It's not like anyone owes you anything.
  7. If you want the rom and emulator quickly, the newsgroups are the best bet: alt.binaries.emulators.neogeo If you don't know how to you the newsgroups, here is an excellent guide: http://www.slyck.com/ng.php
  8. Good ol' astalavista. That site has probanly saved me thousands of dollars over the years. :D
  9. I'm a big fan of newsgroups. All the newest "stuff" is there. You don't have to share, and the speeds are excellent. Here is an awesome guide that tells you almost everything you need to know. http://www.slyck.com/ng.php I would recommend using agent instead of newsbin, at first. It's a little more user friendly. You might have your settings in newsbin pro set to filter out small messages. Good luck.
  10. I've gotten sound to work with San Fran Rush 2049, but unfortunately, the sound is very garbled and it slows the game down, trust me, for now, it's better to play without sound. If you want to see what it sounds like though, get the rsp.dll that comes with Projet64, and put it in the plugins folder for 1964. Select it in the options for rsp, then, configure it so that "SendAudio lists to audio plugins" is Not checked. But check "Send Display lists to graphic plugin". I'm using azimers audio v0.3, but you can try jabo's directsound (or any other audio plugin, for that matter). Check this forum out, there's some helpful stuff there; http://www.emutalk.net/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=2 Good luck, and if you find a better configuration, be sure to share it.
  11. I was just wondering if anyone here was a beta tester for 1964 v0.9.9 Or, does anyone have any info on a possible release date? I'm anxiously awaiting this emulator, it sounds like it is almost perfect.
  12. Hi, awesome site. Nice layout, and most other sites treat it like a capital crime to discuss rom links. I was just wondering if someone can help me play steel gunner 2 for mame. When i play it, there are two sets of crosshairs, one moves around when i move the mouse or joystick, but the bullets don't go where the cursor is. The other crosshair is in the middle of the screen, and it doesn't move, so you can only shoot enemies straight in front of you. Very annoying, i've tried different versions of mame, and i've tried using my joystick, then my mouse, no luck. Can anyone help? Thanks.
