thx to james help i got the problem fixed but now i ran into a weird prob; the game was added fine but mame ox won't list it the rom set matches the driver perfectly so i don't know what i did wrong EDIT: ok i had to get delete the save for it to see the new drivers; will post if all works well UPDATE: it works, not perfect looking but it works; only real bad thing is that you gotta wait a while

well i got my hands on Samurai Spirits Zero for PS2 today and tried it and i must say its good and bad. good is the sound, off bat the music sounds a lot better then the cart and also have options for arrange/original the controls work very nicely and they even set it up to make things a lot easier 2 bosses are playable from get go now for the bad: the loading in this game is a bit annoying even tho the pics during loading are nice the gfx look great but a bit blocky which makes me wish they added a filter option like sf3 had. once again, snk/playmore didn't add a language option so you gotta live with the japanese text (menu/options is english tho) and last, its not the special version which has all the lovely fatalites and other goodies so overall another decent port by snk/playmore

i think you missed my point, i want to enable it in mame ox in the source since mame by default doesn't enable unibios (it only shows 1.0/1.1 unibios)

ok, seeing how xport didn't post the source for b2 yet, i decided to try b1 out and try to add kof2003b with the 512k s1 but i'm running into a prob dealing with this part for source/machine/neogeo.c: the part i highlighted gives me a syntax error on 'if' any help on this?

well i'm gonna fool around with mame ox 84 for a bit (it has virtual memory options now ) so i'm wondering how to enable unibios in the 84? i tried adding the line for it but gives me a syntax error of some sort

ok, the best suggestion i can give you is to grab gogo's version since his has all banned games in it. you can grab it at his fba-xxx forum

also the fixed s1 for mame (the infinite sign fix) works fine with it

you have to get the new p1, go to the neogeo section and to should be able to find it

i can tell you off bat sf1 plays horrible with out the extra memory (plays choppy) as for strider 2, i doubt that will play well

xport is basically using whatever is the latest core from the mame team.

only way to play it better is to add ram to the xbox i'm sorry to say

well i had psm mag for a while now and still enjoy it, sometimes i'll get egm or game informer (which has improved a lot) right now i'm getting a free subscription to gamepro and i still hate it but what the hell, its free

yeah mk trilogy was buggy (who can forget shao kahn jumping around for nothing ) mk2 was definitly the best; mk3/umk3 was fun but not that great; mk4/gold is proly the one i hate the most; mkda; i liked it but yeah it was a bit stiff in some parts but a lot better then mk4.

i remember one the someone was selling a haunted vase and another ebay auction of someone claiming to have britney spears fart sealed in tupperware there was also one for justin timberlake's piece of toast that was bitten by him hehe just remembered a favorite one but don't know the link; it was a mother selling her son's ps2 with controller and memory card on ebay as punishment hehe

specs is one thing but still won't make a big difference as for what each system has. oof bat, ps2 has plenty of games to play and more to still to come only on ps2 (metal gear 3, grand theft auto : san andreas, gran turismo 4, and so on) xbox i have games for but to tell you the truth, i play emus more then xbox games and the main reason to that is cuz most of xbox's games just don't really appeal to me or they already on ps2. i should also mention that xbox becomes a very nice entertainment unit once hacked cuz of one main app, XBox Media Center so to a point, i'll tell you what i tell all guys/gals at efnet when they ask "which is better, ps2 or xbox?" ps2 has the games, xbox has the mods

yea, i went to gogo's forum the other day and saw he added kof2003 to his old kawa-x hack which i thought was nice one thing i remember about it tho that rotd loads slow for some odd reason, not sure if he ever fixed that but it something to have if you really want kawa-x i personally hope on the mameox project and a new version of fba-x (fba-xxx isn't bad but still like to see a new release of the emu itself)

gogo has said a long time ago that its hard to add but if anyone is up to it he'll add it
