manto has announced that he'll remove the banned drivers from the emu and source in the next version. this is due to a thread in x-s that caught lantus and fba team's eyes due to the new ini option that can allow banned games. it was a big debate and points were made but in the end manto put a nail in the coffin

well theres a good thing about fba and thats the fact that its open source. so for me to release my compile i must make the source availible as well which wasn't a prob for me. plain and simple, i can say that i made one but you'll have to ask me where to get it as of right now i havent touched the latest source so don't expect it any time soon, been busy trying to clean out this hdd for clean install which is quite over due hehe

yes you're right. the only game i can think that actually had support for dual processors was quake 3 which was by luck hehe but even that game didn't look as pretty as it should with this crappy card but at least it didnt act choppy as doom 3 did for me

well i tested the game on my dual p3 1ghz with 1280mb of sd-ram and gf4 440 mx card (crappy) and it played bad even on low settings

the japanese launch ps2's actually had more problems with DVD playback than american and european ps2's true but at least they were able to play other region dvd movies

fba-xxx twisted a lot of the rom names for some retarded reason so i highly suggest you use the dat and check your roms with romcenter

well i'm ok with the rules as it was been in talks for a month or so now but one thing that wasn't mentioned was direct link, will that be gone or just cleaned up or be to premium members only like rom request?

damn that really sucks but i would still check out a pep boys/auto zone in case they might any that fit

they'll add dvd movie options without a doubt. when ps2 came out in japan, the dvd player option is what sold them since at the time dvd players there were expensive so that made many japanese ppl happy (untill you find out the first models actually suck but oh well )

its already been said i few months back that it will be backward compatible with ps1/2. as for dvd movies i'm not sure but i'm gonna guess that it will be added since they are planning add it to the players coming out late in the year

easiest way to get things rollin is to get the latest fba-xxx and romcenter for your pc. the latest fba-xxx makes a dat that can be used in romcenter to check your roms to see if its good for the emu or tell you if something is wrong or missing. gogo's forum has a tut on romcenter and i highly suggest you check it out if you never used it (its a bit on the french side but theres parts in english)

yeah bulletproof is great and easy to use. i would share out but my isp is really pain in the ass about uploads (got capped 3 times already since last year). this why i don't really like sending out full roms but doing fills isn't a prob since most fills are small like when thraxton ask if i could help him with a few files for mslug4nd or matrimnd for fba-xxx btw, i'll be working on the new fba-xxx source proly thursday or friday as i'm busy right now cleaning out this hdd for good (got a bigger one for the pc) and during some thing for my family
