Fatal Rose Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 I just bought the game last night and before I post my opinion/review on it I would like to know what all you guys think about this game. Like it? Hate it? Or do you love this game and think it is one of the most incredible adventure games of all time? Anyway let me know what you think.

Fatal Rose Posted August 12, 2004 Author Posted August 12, 2004 Man this game is so intense. It's unlike anything I have ever played before. It's very realistic, dark, dirty and evil; it portrays America as a dark, violent, sadistic, perverted slum, where no one gets out alive. The story is great so far, so are the enemies. Unlike Jet LI Rise to honor (another great game) you can't just run through a level and beat the crap out of everything you see. If you fight two on one they will over power you and kill you. Man this game scares the hell out of me while I am playing it. I highly recommend this game to anyone that owns a XBox or PS2.

Chaotica Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 (edited) I completed the game, and I enjoyed it alot. The dark atmosphere the game creates is one of the most powerful I have ever seen/felt in a game, and the combination of hiding in the shadows and waiting...waiting...waiting for that perfect moment to execute an oblivious enemy always keeps you on the edge. And when you reach the gunfights, they are immensely enjoyable! I think many people write this game off because they see the excessive violence and nothing else. Play it late at night, with all the lights off and the volume way up, and its an experience that is quite memorable. And play it on Hardcore, not on Fetish - the radar on Fetish spoils the whole tension/anticipation element of the game. And the dialogue in the game is some of the best ever. Too bad all voice acting can't be as high quality as this. The guy who plays Starkweather is fantastic, and I particularly loved the speech of some of the Smileys, who are all insane. You'll meet one Smiley who insists that you "stole his shoes," while you'll meet another Smiley who will shout out, "I can see him, he is loosing all of his pedals."
