Prican25 Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 personaly, i hope they don't make another console. best to stick with software since hardware seems to fail on their behave (loved dc but lack of support killed it)
StriderSkorpion Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 You mean fan support? If so, yeah, that's what killed it. The gaming industry and game reviewers liked it for the most part, though. Mainstream gamers were holding out for the PS2 despite the fact that the launch and subsequent release titles weren't really all that great. You could get pretty much the same results out of a DC.
ForceX Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 Well, I've heard that Nintendo and Sega are making a game together and its gonna be reveiled at E3....
Wizard Posted May 1, 2004 Author Posted May 1, 2004 For the press event, it is showing off games and the announcement it self. A friend of mine going to e3 is trying to get into the press event (he works at CVG) and he needs the info to contact sega to get in. If it isn't a new console(which is what I wish, but won't happen) It might be offical Xbox Support for being one of its devs exclusively or Carrying Xbox 2 in japan. Or you know, new arcade hardware.
Cominus Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 I hope it isn't another MEGATON!!!!!!111 Anyway, this isn't the BIG news but it is still great news if, like me you love Sega and own an Xbox Outrun 2 is confirmed for the Xbox X B O X - Sega confirmed that they will release a Xbox version of OutRun 2 later this year. The Xbox version will be compatible with Xbox Live, allowing 2 - 4 people to play over the network. The home version also have new game modes not found in the arcade version. ~The Magic box Well thats that and I found this there too- SNK NeoGeo USA announced its lineup for E3 2004: Metal Slug 3 (Xbox) Metal Slug 4 & 5 Combo Pack (PS2, Xbox) Metal Slug Advance (GBA) SNK Vs Capcom: SVC Chaos (Xbox) The King of Fighters Maximum Impact (PS2) The King of Fighters 2002 & 2003 Combo Pack (PS2 / Xbox) Samurai Shodown V (PS2, Arcade) Samurai Shodown V Special (PS2, Arcade)hmm....
Wizard Posted May 1, 2004 Author Posted May 1, 2004 Yes, the e3 line up is in another thread < http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6706 > for SNK.
Chaotica Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 I want another Sega console. I miss Sega from the console market. They deserve another crack at it. The Dreamcast looked so promising. Fingers crossed, Sega.
ForceX Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 "The announcement on May 12th at 10:00am PST will send shockwaves throughout the industry and will be an unprecedented first in the gaming market. Sega intends to form an alliance with a major console maker and co-develop the next generation console with them. In turn, all Sega games will be exclusive to that console and the Sega brand will be affixed to the front of the console much like a "Dolby Digital" logo. Yes, Sega is becoming a brand identification. So no Dreamcast 2, No Alex Kidd Gamecube, No BS. Cheers. SegaInformant" This was posted over at Xbox World....by a very reliable source....

People were speculating that at mmcafe. So if it isn't hardware news (I.E. another arcade board then Naomi 2), nor console. It's 1) Sega baught someone 2) Someone Merged with Sega (Technically Sammy and Sega aren't merged together, they just use the share resources) or 3) Exclusively develope for a system.
Weirdy Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 I heard Sony didn't have a booth last year, did they have one this year?

They just might merge with nintendo cuz sega an nintendo were rivals in the beginning and now that sony and xbox have been buying them out it would be like the only way that either company will be able to make any real money. Plus they both make a bunch of adventure games and sega makes a couple of fighting games so that could place them so where in the next console race. Edited May 1, 2004 by Cominus

I would say Microsoft because Sega has been a big support in Japan for the system.
Prican25 Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 (edited) i would say nintendo since sega seems to toss more games there now but sega did work with m$ before with DC so i'm not sure Edited May 1, 2004 by Prican25
