valovedder Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 I don't think we will ever truely know what was going on. But who cares, the man was a cerative genius who helped a lot of people through a lot of crap. He will live forever if these people wish to keep his memory alive.
OverlordMondo Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 I have to agree with Emsley and ForceX on the underground band thing. If you want to find good(most of them) bands, without record contracts, for FREE, go to http://www.mp3lizard.com/.So awesome.

Gryph Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Now if only Eminem killed himself for his daughter... (j/k)That would be awesome, except people would deify as him as some sort of a rap god that he cleary isn't.
StriderSkorpion Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Hey now ForceX, do you actually like his music? Anymore it seems he's being controversial for cash rather than just being a plain old American jerk. GryphonKlaw, you're probably right. Getting assassinated wouldn't help matters either. He'd probably be put right up there with Tupac and Biggie.
Captain FuKu Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Tupac... I could never understand the hype that guy gets.
StriderSkorpion Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 I'm not into rap so I really can't say. I feel he's overhyped, but I'm just some white guy into rock and its variations.
-VIOLENCE- Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 dang... how sad... HE WAS MURDERED! BY DAVE... that jealous bastard... I bet if kurt were alive today he'd be doing stuff with Brian Molko Of PLACEBO... now that would be hot.. i always felt that PLACEBO is liek the glammed out Nirvana
random guy Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Has anyone seen "Kurt and Courtney"? It's an excellent documentary about Kurt's "suicide". Apparently, Courtney Love was in discussions with a hitman (from another band) to kill Kurt, plus also if you look at the suicide note it looks like the last four lines - the only lines which mention suicide, were written by someone else. Plus apparently it would have been quite difficult to kill yourself with a shotgun, especially when you had 4 grams (or something rediculous)of heroin in your bloodstream - apparently it would be hard enough to even move your arm at that point. Now, I don't know if I believe the whole "suicide conspiracy" thing, but this movie sure makes some interesting points!
Agozer Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Tupac... I could never understand the hype that guy gets.I can never understand the hype any rap star gets.
Gryph Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Tupac... I could never understand the hype that guy gets.I can never understand the hype any rap star gets. Well it is a viable and bonafide art form when done right ie. Public Enemy, Run DMC, KRSOne. But most other times is glorified purified crap.

Although some rap starts have indeed earned their 'status',
Wizard Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 I blame his wife for "killing" him self. Listen to old school rap, you know, when they teamed up with electronica-like artists, Afrika Bambataa owns all, that stuff is great. A few seem worthy without the electronica part, but Cypress Hill proved to be good with electronica (Blade 2 was ok, but the music was good!). Rap needs to go back to its roots.
