OK this is rolling out fast.....it will take a while for people to get there heads around that anything can run but alot of it needs to be setup correctly...I can tell you ive got a massive list of stuff done now all working and all tested....

 

I need to know who wants to be the team to help produce a new massive Arcade Console and Handheld pack...at present ive done 2300 games

It will be a best of and help everyone have a one download all done best of collection for there xbox...I have a few extra features planned for this as well and also if needs stuff can be fixed or added....

 

If someone wants to be incharge of it I will come and help them out....and oversea it a bit but that will free me up to do the fixes and add new stuff....if so they need to create a thread ill support it and I need to know I someone will keep a list of stuff as after the 100th post I sometimes dont remember stuff thats easy to add....it just needs a controlled list from all the inputs that come in for feature suggestions...games...and fixes...right now its an uncontrolled lot of stuff that I do what I can when I remember

Yeah, I do have the full ShowROOM. I guess my mistake here was that I was moving everything from my old install of ShowROOM (the roms and everything) into the standalone Inferno instead of replacing them. I'll try that and let you know.

gun master a prety good game but i seem to be hving a problem wtih donkey kong foundry for some reason i cant see it on the romlist.

I haven't add donkey kong foundry but I see gun master in the romlist and work

My problem with Third Strike was actually a broken cache problem. Once I deleted the files in e:\CACHE\, it was back to working again, both alone and within Coinops.

 

BP, I'll send you my configs sometime this weekend once I've got them all set up for multiple players as well.

Excellent!! Glad to hear you have completed Inferno!! I will look around for it, but if there is a link anyone can send to me that would be nice also

 

I would definitely be interested in doing some game testing for GamesROOM if that is what you are looking for also.

OK found it, that was easy enough

if anyone is having problems launching the midway games namely

mk

nba jam te.

then here is what you need to do.

just put the following roms into a folder called ROMSMIDWAY,the folder is in the coinops inferno folder.

then you will need pointer files because these games are running off a different core which the rest of the mame games are not using.

here are the pointer files in this download i just put up.

just unrar the file and put each of the 5 pointer files into your coinops roms folder.DO NOT unrar the pointer folders they are meant to be .zip files.

once the 5 pointer folders are in the roms folder then just rescan your roms and you should be good to go.

so if I understand correctly there will eventually be a coinops gamesroom all in one package? This is going to be nuts!

 

Since I already have the full showroom though I just download the new files and overwrite/follow instructions in post though correct? Will there be something like this when the final gamesroom comes out so people dont have to download the first 14 or so GB all over again? sort of like a Showroom to Gamesroom update patch?

No problems guys I think you can see why this is out now....so we can discuss a true all in one greatest hits package for the XBOX...the features are there and everyone can play....make suggesestions etc...

 

I guess im looking for a leader of the project to just construct a list of games to add...and a list of features...and a status....also some discussion around how to upload etc a pack that over writes ShowROOM saving 15gig etc or a new LITE its 90 percent assembled now...I just want you to help the final game selections which will take a few months...and some discussion how this should roll out to people (eg choosing diff packs to suit diff users)
