stf Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 you dont need to use the dat-file if you want to add games just put them in the rom folder and scan for roms. Obviously... but i want to do a new full romset compilation and i can't. in your babe save, erase everything except mameox.ini. then relaunch. It wil refresh the games list: "Welcome to Coinops" etc, etc...
darknior Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 (edited) 1 - I have verify, and there is no "moo.zip" in the "VM.TXT" !It is why it don"t work if you not give it ram manualy...Same problem with "Arabian Fight" (arabfgt.zip) who work with manualy memory and "Light Bringer" (Lightbr.zip ??) same too ... 2 - For the "ddsom.zip" mine is named "ddsomr1.zip", i renamed it and it work fine But, why CoinOPS don't tell me that my name ROM is wrong, or that i don't have the rom ? - I have understand myself for the option to colorise classic games, you don't tell that we must DISABLE the "HOT GAMES" who is enable by default. When i disable it, i have can see "ALL TIME CLASSIC GAMES" with good green color.3 - But for the FAVORITES, there is already for me a mistake When i had myself a game to Favorite with the WHITE button, it appear BIGGER and YELLOW And i can remove it when i want ...But, there are somes games like "Super Sprint" or "Rampage" who are already in YELLOW but write with normal FONT, that i can't never remove of the FAVORITE list !Why, how to remove them all and make my list myself without modify an .TXT or .XML ? Thanks Edited February 19, 2009 by darknior
stf Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 (edited) ddsom revision 1 is a clone! i don't know which vm.txt you are using. ddsom & his clones appear in both 480p & 720p vm.txt.moo & arabfgt appear in vmHiDef with the values 4 48 65565. In 480p no vm values were needed for those games before the final beta appeared, using a little more ram (the public beta). No more values are needed today in what is closed to the "final Final". BritneysPAIRS Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 turn off Add All time classics to favorites and Add hot games to favorites first 2 options
exobuzz Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 turn off Add All time classics to favorites and Add hot games to favorites first 2 options Thanks for the update to mameox. Nice to have HD support. Will the ability to select rasterline processing come back ? I couldn't see it in the latest beta (only an option to switch on one of the other processing modes which I don't personally use). Will the sourcecode be made available on final release?
scutoronimus Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Requesting information to download the final beta. Thanks BP and all!CoinOPS is a great package!

cba.gy Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 (edited) FTP'd Ignite Beta Final to xbox with no roms or screen shots. Launched in order to setup 720p skin and set the available options etc. However once i finished the options and return to rom list it freezes / crashes. So next i copied my roms and screenshots to the appropriate folders and relaunched, still the same. I had to delete the saves from the e: babeface and start fresh for it to work and find the roms. Just a little quirk i thought i would post in case anyone does the same. PS. F.A.O. BP Which version of Visual Studio do you build your projects with ? Edited February 22, 2009 by cba.gy
NEIL222 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 This really is the business...awesome job BP.
stf Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 (edited) OK, I stop redoing the vm.txt for 480p. I had many cool improvements (more than 1 mn better time loading for gunbird 2 or other big games) but i push the RAM to its limits and I'm afraid because we don't all have the same softmod or modship, so not the same RAM available. I'll keep the actual values, and redo only those for "Malloc Fail" games. I suppose the vm was made by guys often testing with 4 ... 65535. It's really possible to set with 8 ... 65535 and sometimes more (gunbird2 52 8 65535 is really faster when lauching because it distributes the memory blocks differently, for the same results ingame but 0 meg free). So I won't write those values in vm.txt. Thanks again BP for CoinOps ! I really have pleasure to use it. Edited February 22, 2009 by stf
BritneysPAIRS Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 im about 2 days to finishing my best of package..... then ill spend a few days tweaking it and ill go though a 2 day process in low def for the vm.txt as well
javiertoti Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 (edited) Does it has the roms folder any type of size limitation? I have done a compilation of 10gb and i can't copy several roms of my pc into the roms folder in Coinops (xbox). Quite strange. How can i add an alternative folder for roms? Editing the .ini? I suppose. Edited February 22, 2009 by javiertoti

Just a little quirk i thought i would post in case anyone does the same. I have a similar problem, when I set the rom path via hidden settings it often hangs when it should return to the prior menu. This is especially true if I do a fresh re-install. I can re-set the xbox and the rom path is sorted (can then successfully scan for games) Also there is no option for a space on the virtual keyboard which is a bummer since I had named my different romsed folders names like mame, new mame and new mame 2. Not really affecting the performance of this emu at running games just niggly glitches.
BritneysPAIRS Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Sorry there is a reson why this feature is hidden its cause I dont care about it and wont code the bugs in it which are many. Remember there is FatX limits 4gig max for a file, 4000odd files max per folder,4000odd folders max, 32 character max length stuff like that. Thats more to do with xbox support good luck with this stuff ive designed it to operate with a max of 2500 games, as that is all the games CoinOPS supports the rest is a waste of space.
