cristina Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Before this one is only a book that sold more than can expect! And now turned into a movie.... Do you think Da Vinci code is true? Or for real? Well lots of people are talking about this upcoming movie and they said that it will be the next blockbuster movie! Well I am gonna watch the movie who among here going to watch that movie? Think it will great than reading it from a book, and we can feel the real think as we unlock the code!
Lucandrake Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 wasn't it released as a "fiction" book? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes it was if I remember correctly I'm not watching this until after I read the book :s....
L.S.D Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Well, it was supposed to be fiction. But half of the world think it is the New Bible or something it seems
Gryph Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 What exactly is this book about? I somehow missed the whole controversy about it.
Agozer Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 What exactly is this book about? I somehow missed the whole controversy about it.I would like to know too. Government conspiracies?
Robert Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Here's the plot from the author's site http://www.danbrown.com/novels/davinci_code/plot.html
Lucandrake Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Well, I know it's about Da Vinci hiding some information in his work, but for what purpose I do not remember....
Nusumenai Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 What exactly is this book about? I somehow missed the whole controversy about it.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I would like to know too. Government conspiracies?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> It basicly revolves around one of the bigger Biblical conspiracies... It's about how Jesus became known as the son of God... It's about how all those misconceptions about women started... It's about how a predominantly male church destroyed turned women into the enemy just to gain more influence... It's a great book. I've read three times already. Though the actually story is fiction, most of the facts within the book are not. The ones that are opinions, have a really strong things supporting them. Mod's edit: Added spoiler tags
Elazul Yagami Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 i was going to read the book (i didn't look at the spoilers, and i'm pretty sure there's a spoiler tag.) but everyone has hyped it up so god damn much, i just passed it. i've decided not to read it.
NeuronMaster Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Last time I checked, fiction means it isn't true. There you go.
Nusumenai Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Last time I checked, fiction means it isn't true. There you go.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> The actual story might be fiction. But so much of what is in the book is accurate.
Robert Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 From what I saw at the authors site (in my previous post), the cryptic puzzles and clues are real, as are the secret societies featured. Of course, the people involved in the story would all be fictional, as is the plot.
Lucandrake Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 The book still is interesting enough, a lot of students in my school already read this, if not are reading it at the moment, if not plan to read it before the end of the school year. I am in the last category since I'm with Narnia right now.
