DanManXZ Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 Gamecube will comeback with the release of the new Zelda. Everyone has been waiting for this for 3 years. I still have hope for nintendo. They are the masters of gaming innovators ready to please true gamers. I'm sick and tired of the zombies that play the same churned butter made by the othe companies(with the exception of great games such we <3 katmari, DDR, and etc.) Nintendo will prevail.

I know you have a point, and in many cases your right, but i hear all the time about Nintendo denying to release games because they dont approve of them. And Xbox and PS2 have wayyyy more explicit games (I mean in number) And there are tons of games on PS2 and Xbox that have moaning and killing and blood, God of War for PS2 being one of them and how about Doom 3 on Xbox? (i know its not THAT bad, but its all i can think off of the top of my head, i just came back from a party ) If Nintendo gave 3rd parties alot more freedom, i dont think it would have been nearly as bad. Plus gamcube was mentioned in a mike jones song (or was it paul wall?) which im sure hurt its reputation XD That Zelda game, had my attention for awhile, but its just looking less and less impressive to me right now, I bet im wrong though, ill go buy it anyway

racketboy Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 I think the GC is a great system that just wasn't promoted well enough. It reminds me a lot of the Dreamcast. And the store shelves are starting to show it too. I noticed Target for one is really trimming down it's inventory -- pretty much just the big new releases like Batallion Wars and Mario Baseball. In fact, I got Viewtiful Joe 2 on clearance for $10 and Prince of Persia Warrior within is on clearance for $8.
Nusumenai Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 I think the main problem with the GC is that fact that it just didn't have enough for everyone.. I personaly play a lot of RPGs, Fighting games and multiplayer shooters... GC has almost none of those.
Elazul Yagami Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 apparently some people are forgetting certain games that prove that the censorship thing is over: 1- eternal darkness2- conkers bad fur day3- the game's k'dash mentioned4- resident evil series.5- a gazillion other violent and sexual games. yes, like k'dash said.thinking in 1996 and that's the problem. nintendo has been so shoe cornered into the image of "the disney of videogames" that none of the freaking casual gamers that want to be cool above all else, would bother playing a single game on it.hence developers not marketing for it. i assure you, if nintendo changed their name to something else, and coupled it with an "EXTREME" marketing things (ala dreamcast) they'd probably sell alot more.thank god they don't though. personally, i think i'll be quite content with my snes for a few more years... it gets more gaming than my psx does.

The fact that Sony still holds the market, even with inferior hardware says a lot. The thing is, if you want something... you will probably find it on PS2 (hell, even the Xbox has a nice variety these days).
