L.S.D Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 If you're playing on normal for dead space, the pistol/gun you start out with is usually enough for most enemies. Shoot limbs off with 1-2 shots then stomp if you can or shoot them once in the head. I pretty much got by with just the pistol and the charge gun. (Had the rifle but hardly used it). Anyways, playing some C&C 3 Tiberium wars now. Running into RTS woes where it seems like computer gets infinite units.I finished the whole game with Plasma Cutter, maxed it out.
Agozer Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Installed Bioshock 2, looks sweet on my hdtv.Got BioShock 2 as well not long. It's sweet, and improves many things that made the original falter a bit.
emsley Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Bioshock 2 was poor in my opinion. It wasnt as memorable as the first - the combat was repetitive and a matter of "unload and heal" or "unload die go back unload die, go back unload die" Playing as big daddy sucked a bit - Id of much preferred a human character - I didnt like it when the screen constantly flooded with enemies when extracting eve Id set up mines and all kinds of shit... Just too much going on.
Inky Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I didnt like it when the screen constantly flooded with enemies when extracting eve Id set up mines and all kinds of shit...I felt the same way. I was dreading getting eve over that bull shit.

I was dreading getting eve over that bull shit. Wasnt fun was it?The first Bioshock had a great storey and inventive areas and tasks (like getting all those puzzle pieces in that hall), this was just a bolt on in my opinion not a proper sequel at all, it showed glimmers of its predecessor like the history walk and i loved that section. As the game progressed none of my weapons or tactics "did stuff" as your weaponry became better the enemies became better so what's the point of upgrading? Ammo was constantly low and i fiddled like a fucking moron between the countless wepaons and abilaties looking for something that could hold out for more then 3 shots before I changed to another randomly placed gun with a small amount of ammo, in between changing there are 6 guys hammering the fuck out of you and 4 robot turrets swooping over your head hammering you, now your going hack!! hack!! no change back!!! shit no ammo!! wtf! oh one shot yeah! oh I died... Chaos!
veristic Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Sounds hard lol, i'm holding off on it until later. Too bad there's no gamepad support for it. Playing through Resident Evil 4 (finally) on PC.
Agozer Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Personally, I love BioShock 2's story so far, and I like Rapture. but I have to admit that the game is much harder than the first. It's like every third Splicer you encounter has a typewriter and when those guys pop up when you're supposed to protect a Little Sister, things get way hard. The new hacking minigame is great, though and it helps when you get free items and health when you properly hack Health Stations and such. What still gets me though (as it did in the first game) is how fast enemies respawn when you do something specific or leave a certain area and come back. Limiting Health Kits and EVE Hypos to five doesn't warm me up, either.
Skythe Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Dead Space and Duke Nukem: Manhatten Project There's 2 achievements/trophies in Dead Space that involve using the cannon and keeping the ships hull damage at or above 50%. Did anyone get those and what's the best way of doing them?
Skythe Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Indeed. It took me awhile against the asteroids. The slug boss wasn't too bad.
emsley Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Dam Im itching to play this game again, I PX it a while back. I love how you have to move all around the ship fixing stuff and doing this then been moved on to the next section. The first 5 minutes of gameplay shits you up big time lol all screaming at you - armour upgrades are sweet.
Skythe Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I didn't like the Level 6 Military armor. Looked too goofy. DLC armor and weapons are mostly skins not new models.
Diso Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Playing Deus ex for the second time. First time was full of bugs so I skipped around a lot.
