The-Ice-Man Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 So what's the best display to hook your xbox up to? So that you can play games that are whatever region, resolution or refresh rate, and still have everything display correctly?
Lucandrake Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Facade I hope that one day, technology like this is perfect to the point where it doesn't suck. Great idea though.
L.S.D Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 MVC2, great online play! This game is still fun although it is 10 yrs old! KOFXII. Trying to get the achievements for each characers, which is hard.
Rag Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 MvsC2 on 360, but something doesn't feel quite right about it... maybe I'm just too used to the DC version and pick up on the small things. Peggle as well, but its getting boring.
Skythe Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Overlord 2, Infinite Undiscovery and random fights of MvC2.
KyokugenKiss Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 MVC2 meh! this game is totally overrated, i remember why i stopped playing it originally, it got overly repetitive and predictable
Krosigrim Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Infinite UndiscoveryHey how do you like that? I'm thinking of picking it up before too long. I'll get Fallout 3 and the downloadable content this friday methinks. Then I'm inclined to buy Star Ocean. Ninja Gaiden II. Haven't played a whole lot, but its just as I remember from the one on the 'ole xbox. Challenging gameplay... as in I gotta learn to block and dodge. Soul Calibur IV... Thats right people... I got it finally. I should be connected to live on Friday or a bit after. Who wants some!? I'll look into the 1942 rehash on XBLA. Cheap and fun... sign me up. guess they made it up to 128 on a server!?
Inky Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 if you haven't got fallout 3 yet you should wait a bit for the GOTY edition. that will have most if not all of the DLC on the disc. cheaper that way.
Shibathedog Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 I'm starting to play tons of Xbox 1 games. I have a modded box and almost the entire library is on Usenet There are only 2 or 3 games I can't find and I'm sure it's just a matter of time before they get posted. I could always just head down to Game Swap because they have tons of cheap xbox games. I'm trying to collect every Xbox game worth playing that doesn't have a better PC version, I even grabbed some of those anyway because they had decent multiplayer. I skipped the games like Metal Slug that I have an emulator for too.

I'll get Fallout 3 and the downloadable content this friday methinks. Then I'm inclined to buy Star Ocean. It's pretty good. The fighting is not turned based, it's completely real time. The game is really nothing to drool over. It's a nice casual game to just play to take up time. You have to play the game at least 3 times through to get 1000 points in the game because you unlock difficulties as you beat it.
Shibathedog Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Yeah I would play more PS2 games but I only have a Swap Magic V2.0 (OOOOOOOOLD) so certain games don't work right, I can't install McFreeBoot with a 2.0 swap magic either because I don't think it supports USB at all, and burning it to a disc didn't work either so it probably doesn't support launching ELF files. I guess what I should try next is booting an Action Replay or newer version of Swap Magic with my older Swap Magic. I hope it's not on a CD though because for some reason my PS2 will not launch CDs unless they are certain original audio CDs or PSX CDs. It reads any kind of DVDs burned or not though which is weird.
VT-Vincent Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 The most recent game I played was the PC version of Final Fantasy VII. I purchased it many years back and couldn't run it due to it's very specific hardware requirements. As a side project, I built a retro box from eBay'ed up components that was built exactly to the recommended configuration. It ran the game great and I finally satisfied my inner completionist by clocking about 60 hours on the game and getting just about everything.
