The anime is pretty good, some tinbits changed, but it's still pretty good. The scanlations of the manga are on just starting off on the 17th book (chapter 145 fyi)

Ichigo (guy in the kick ass samurai-like outfit) becomes a death god when Ruika (girl in the school uniform) gives him all of her powers.

 

Violence, comedy and Orihime make this anime/manga the own.

It's about this student who gets the powers of a "Spirit Slayer" of sorts from the girl you see in those pic.

 

A Spirit Slayer releases the good spirits that still roam the earth, so they can go to heaven (or whatever) and defeat the evil spirits.

It's about kids who drink bleach they found under the kitchen sink and then die slow, painful deaths. It's a great anime.
